The GoFundMe page set up in his honor to benefit his daughters has raised close to a half a million dollars, and while that’s a pretty penny, his estranged widow, Rebecca Gayheart fears the money will eventually run out so she’s come up with a plan. According to my source, Rebecca is planning an auction where she will sell off many of Eric’s personal items and mementoes from his decades as an actor (including things from his long stint as Dr. McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy). Rebecca is also planning a celebration of life scheduled for March.
