The saddest news out of Hollywood today: the unexpected passing of 79-year-old actress Diane Keaton. To say we are heartbroken and tearful as we write this would be an understatement. Through the years we had many encounters with Diane, usually at vintage clothing shows, flea markets and cultural events. She was always kind, friendly, and fun, (but also laser focused at those vintage clothing shows, where she had an uncanny ability to scope the room and find the hidden treasures). Although she had an Oscar on her mantle, Diane will be remembered for FAR more than her acting. From her unique sense of style, her love of architecture and interior design (she made a fortune buying, redoing, and flipping properties) her appreciation for everything vintage, her love for all animals, and her trailblazing feminism. She never wanted to be someone’s wife, and despite many high-profile romances, chose to stay single (we know she turned down more than a few marriage proposals). She was one of a kind, and Hollywood is a little less special with her passing. The last few months she was dealing with a major health issue which her immediate family chose to keep private. She was beloved and will be missed.

Thanks Janet. This is a far better obit than the one I just read at Vulture.com I am heartbroken with this one. Diane Keaton has been with me my whole life it seems, inspiring and entertaining. She was a brilliant person who could do anything. Multi-talented, multi-faceted, and I somehow felt she would live to 100. RIP and blessings to her family and friends.
