Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino are planning their swan song. The longtime friends have made 4 movies together – most notably The Godfather Part 2 in 1974, in which they shared no scenes together, and most recently The Irishman in 2019. Both are now in their eighties and decided it was the right time for one more collaboration. The buddies held a meeting in the private dining room at Il Fornaio in Beverly Hills on December 10, where they brainstormed. My source says they want to do a comedy with undertones of The Godfather, playing two retired mobsters from New York who wind up living together in Florida, and wreaking comedic havoc in their retirement community. (Sounds like fun to us!)
