CONAN: SECURE IN HIS MASCULINITY?

Conan-OBriencut.jpg
We LOVE it when our gossip takes on a life of it’s own! Last night on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Ving Rhames guested and Conan couldn’t help bringing up our item about Ving’s “difficult kissing scene” in his movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Ving admitted that he didn’t want to kiss a MAN onscreen and kissed a “female double ” instead, just like we told you! Ving stated “I am secure in my masculinity” and then he offered to demonstrate a “stage kiss” with Conan where their lips don’t really meet. Conan warned Ving “My wife has TIVO.” Their fake smooch drew much laughter with Conan asking “Am I the man or the woman?” We’re just happy our funny story was appreciated!

  1. And I love it when professional writers can’t write. “A life of IT’S own”?
    Apostrophe abuse!

  2. rough crowd today janet. I thought the vin-conan kiss was a freaking funny bit. Thanks, of course, to Conan. But as long as Vin requires a female stand-in for a man on man kissing scene he’ll remain in the acting bush league. Hanks, Kline, Banderas — even our new James Bond, Daniel Craig, have no problem following direction and remaining in character. Like, isn’t that an actor’s job? Or does vinny think everybody would think he’s a fairy if he kisses a guy on camera? And God forbid, wouldn’t that be awful. Smacks of a little homophobia on the vinmeister’s part.

  3. it’s-a contraction meaning it is or it has
    its-possesive adjective
    happens all the time

  4. Makes no sense, he doesn’t want to kiss a man in character but he wants to do it on a tv show.
He should pick his roles more wisely next time, cause I’m not about to watch that movie knowing he’s feeling digusted the whole time.
