Natalie Wood

DID KIRK DOUGLAS ASSAULT NATALIE WOOD?

The Beverly Hills home where Kirk Douglas and his wife lived is up for sale and it includes a backyard Hollywood Walk of Fame with cement squares signed by Kirk’s celebrity friends. You can plainly see Frank Sinatra and Natalie Wood’s autographs in this photo. Coincidentally, Natalie’s younger sister Lana just wrote a book in which she charges Spartacus star Kirk Douglas with sexually assaulting Natalie during a meeting they had at the Chateau Marmont in the mid-fifties. Natalie was around 17 and Kirk was in his 30’s. Natalie and her mother decided not to press charges or tell anyone because it might ruin her career. If the assault story is true, were there more victims’ names on Kirk’s Walk of Fame? (No #MeToo in those days)

THE TIME WARREN BEATTY, NATALIE WOOD, AND ROBERT WAGNER BUMPED INTO EACH OTHER

This photo, taken by photographer Gary Lewis in the 1970’s, is quite significant because it features three movie stars in a love triangle! Here’s the backstory: Natalie Wood married Robert Wagner in 1957 when she was 19 and he was 27. Everything was fine until she filmed Splendor in the Grass in 1961 with Warren Beatty. Their passionate love scenes on camera led to an affair and wrecked her marriage to Wagner and they divorced in 1962. In 1972, all was forgiven and Natalie and Robert married again. A short time later, Warren Beatty just happened to be waiting by the door at the busy Beverly Wilshire hotel for a friend, when suddenly Natalie and Wagner walked in! AWKWARD- they ignored each other – but Gary Lewis got the shot. If you love Old Hollywood photos and gossip, use this link mptvimages.com and type in Gary Lewis’s name. His Pics are amazing and he’s put together a celebrity packed book ready to be published.

QUAALUDES PROBABLY KILLED NATALIE WOOD, NOT ROBERT WAGNER

This whole rehashing of the Natalie Wood drowning case thirty years after the fact looks like the LAPD trying to drum up some good will for itself. The fact that they got their “new” information from a book written by the boat captain is borderline absurd. This “captain” has been selling stories to the press for YEARS and certainly this publicity will help book sales. Back in 1981, the surviving parties, Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken didn’t want the public to know how high they all were on quaaludes (the hot drug at the time) and alcohol. No one wanted to ruin Natalie’s reputation either, so the drugs and booze were played down. Certainly, bad decisions were made by all three celebrities on the yacht – maybe even involving sex. Chances are, Natalie was so loaded she was clumsy and didn’t know what she was doing when she fumbled with the dinghy and landed in the water. And the guys were just too wasted to pay attention. There was no foul play, just massive inebriation.

CHRISTOPHER WALKEN STILL HAS LOTS OF HAIR

Christopher Walken is all dolled up to attend the Lincoln Center Tribute to Meryl Streep. They costarred in The Deer Hunter together and he won an Oscar for best supporting actor. He often plays unstable characters but we loved him as a 50’s dad in “Blast from the Past.” Of course, he’ll never live down the fact that he was on that yacht the night Natalie Wood mysteriously drowned.
