TAN FRANCE: FIRST OUT GAY MUSLIM ON TV?

To think we almost FORGOT how amazing Tan France’s hair is! He has the pompadour of a lifetime- what a head of hair! The Queer Eye star, 36, lives up to his billing as a fashion expert. Tan was born Tanveer Safdar in the UK to Pakistani parents and he grew up gay in a Muslim family. (You can read more about THAT in his book Naturally Tan.) He studied design in college and worked in the fashion industry (including Chanel) until he married an illustrator named Rob France (hence the last name.) They live together in Salt Lake City. Today Tan was in New York visiting the Stephen Colbert show.

Demonstration Muslim Spain

MUSLIM WOMEN DEMONSTRATE AGAINST TERRORISM

Speaking of Claire Danes‘ head scarf – this is what we’ve been waiting for. The Spanish Muslim Association in Madrid demonstrated against terrorism, jihadism, and FOR Charlie Hebdo, in the streets of Marbella. We’d like to see this kind of demonstration in the US, and especially, France. The demonstrators are not all WOMEN – the male Muslims had to demonstrate SEPARATELY, and not too close to the women. One woman held a sign saying “Keep calm – I’m not a terrorist.” What the world needs is more Muslims loudly denouncing violence and lack of equality for women.

Boyfriend Brahim Zaibat Kabbalah Madonna Muslim

MADONNA’S MUSLIM BOYFRIEND HAS NO INTEREST IN KABBALAH

Madonna, 52, doesn’t take her current boyfriend, 24 year old Brahim Zaibat, EVERYWHERE, but she does take him to restaurants and dance clubs in New York and Europe. She hasn’t taken him to any fancy parties like the Vanity Fair Oscar party (she attended with Lourdes.) And so far he has avoided attending Kabbalah services with her. That probably won’t change because Algerian born Brahim is a devout Muslim who says he doesn’t smoke or drink, and prays to Allah every day. This is the first guy she’s been with since she joined Kabbalah, who isn’t interested. Chances are he’s drinking Kabbalah water, however.

DO MADONNA AND HER MUSLIM BOYFRIEND DRINK KABBALAH WATER TOGETHER?

Madonna is in London spending a lot of time with her new 24 year old boyfriend Brahim Zaibat, who bears more than a passing resemblance to her last boyfriend Jesus Luz, also 24. Brahim, a dancer who lives in France, is known for his trademark flexible style and swagger. Madonna fell for his moves when he danced at the launch of her clothing line in New York. Last Friday they went to see the two-part movie, “Carlos,” about a Venezuelan terrorist, and spent the weekend together. The other night the pair dined at a London restaurant and left separately. We can’t help but wonder if the Muslim Zaibat will embrace Kabbalah to make Madonna happy.
