We LOVE Hollywood, but seeing this photo of two New York characters makes us very sentimental. The red haired woman with the cupids bow lips is a very famous and clever fashion writer, Lynn Yaeger. She wrote about fashion for The Village Voice for 30 years and now contributes to Vogue, the New York Times etc. Her companion with the bicycle is Michael Musto, who wrote about NY nightlife for the Village Voice for many years and appeared on The Gossip Show on the E! channel with us.(Not to mention tons of other talk shows) We all love flea markets and years ago Michael and I went to a New York flea market and I tried to talk him into buying matching outfits for the Gossip Show. He wasn’t thrilled with the sweaters I suggested.

CALVIN KLEIN’S QUESTIONABLE CHOICES COME BACK TO HAUNT HIM

Our brilliant colleague, Gawker contributor Michael Musto, posted a hilarious -and revealing- interview with John Luciano, who dated Calvin Klein’s boyfriend Nick Gruber after they split up. It’s titled “Calvin Klein’s Boyfriend is Straight and the Worst Lover I Ever Had!” Click HERE to read the whole thing. What Calvin and Nick don’t know is that Luciano has created a mini-series about his brief romance with Nick for YouTube. When they were a couple, Gruber and Luciano worked on a proposed reality series and now John is editing The Nick Gruber Project for YouTube, debuting next week. Our provocative friend Michael Musto, of The Village Voice, didn’t let Lance Bass off the hook easy at Lance’s book party in New York. He asked all the gay questions. Lance’s book Out of Sync documents his life of furtively covering up his sexuality – especially while he was in the boy band ‘NSYNC. His bandmates used to fix him up on dates that never worked out. Lance says he was relieved one night when his best friend Joey Fatone found him at a party with his boyfriend sitting on his lap. He confessed everything. Lance only wishes he’d come out sooner.

LA DOLCE MUSTO

If you need a good laugh and love gossip, our friend Michael Musto has a new book for you. La Dolce Musto (Amazon $10.85) is a collection of his most entertaining columns in The Village Voice through the years. John Waters describes the deliciously eccentric Musto as “the best social columnist in New York.” We love the fact that he asks the TOUGH questions. For example, he asked Carrie Fisher if the urban legend about her walking in on her mother (Debbie Reynolds) in bed with Agnes Moorehead was TRUE.

And for those of you who love blind items – some examples:
What late star’s husband went home with a female impersonator dressed as his dead wife?
What animal activist hypocritically uses dead cows in the form of leather and other S&M paraphernalia when he has sex with young hustlers?
