Justin has been acting and writing successfully in Hollywood, but he finally landed his first leading man role in the HBO miniseries “The Leftovers.” He plays a police chief in a New York suburb where a strange cult has taken hold. He’s still in New York – now he’s promoting the series debut on June 29. Click HERE to see a cute photo of him during an LA Times interview. From that interview we learned one thing he has in common with Jennifer – he’s not bothered by intrusive paparazzi. He knows they serve a purpose and shrugs that worse things can happen than being followed by photographers. Nice attitude.

We barely recognized Jennifer Aniston in character for the role she’s filming for the movie “Cake.” That’s quite a makeunder. Actually we think it’s a wig and not her own hair so when she leaves at the end of the day she looks good again. The movie is described as a comedy/drama, but it’s the story of a woman who was in a traumatic fatal car accident and ends up in a chronic pain support group. Sam Worthington, Anna Kendrick and Felicity Huffman costar.

It so happens Jennifer is delighted when Justin is working because her success is a lot to contend with. They were spotted this week shopping at Barneys (one of their favorite stores) n New York and they met Jason Bateman at the Fred restaurant there for lunch. This relationship is far from over.

Jennifer Aniston admitted to Elle U.K. that she had her hairdresser Chris McMillan chop off her hair because she had a Brazilian blow-out that damaged her locks. Her longtime hairdresser Chris probably wasn’t responsible for the Brazilian disaster because he knows better. The Brazilian treatment got a bad rep because it used high heat that could easily damage hair. That treatment has been replaced by Keratin, which smooths and straightens hair successfully, without damage (We know because we couldn’t live without them- especially during the rainy season!) NOW we know what Jennifer Aniston sees in her fiancé Justin Theroux. For one thing, he has NO INTEREST IN SPORTS! She hit the jackpot! That means she doesn’t have to endure a future of him running off to watch football or basketball games with his buddies, or boring her with hours of games on TV. It also means he can make conversation about subjects other than scores etc. On top of that, Justin told GQ that he is appalled by men who walk around the city looking like slobs who should be on the beach – with unruly hair, wearing flannel pants and flip flops. Wait- there’s more – he doesn’t flare up at paparazzi and he has a sense of humor about tabloids – he found it amusing when someone on the street congratulated him for expecting twins! One of Jennifer Aniston’s favorite hang-outs in Hollywood is The Tower Bar – they even have a drink named after her. The maitre d’ there, Dmitri Dmitrov, always watches out for her – he gives Jen her favorite table and discreetly warns her if any of her ex-boyfriends are there. According to Merle Ginsberg in The Hollywood Reporter, Dmitri was thrilled when Jennifer arranged to have him appear in her currently filming Peter Bogdanovich movie “Squirrels to the Nuts” shooting in Manhattan. He‘s playing a New York maitre d’ in several scenes using his own name. Jennifer also made sure she shared the screen with him at least once. And Jennifer, 44, looks as pretty and natural as ever (while Chris is not as blessed.) So, in spite of Jennifer’s history of failed movies, she remains one of the biggest stars in the world and probably the most in-demand tabloid cover girl of all time. In spite of the intrusive photographic demand for her (and the resulting negative criticism from haters,) Jennifer remains polite and kind. She is, in fact, one of the nicest celebrities in Hollywood. So don’t hate her because she’s lucky.

This photo is proof that hair really DOES matter. Jennifer Aniston is filming Squirrel to the Nuts in New York and to make her look more ordinary, she was fitted with a plain brown wig. Without her long shiny hair swinging, she’s just not the same person. Interesting side notes: the movie Is being directed by Peter Bogdanovich and was written by Peter and his wife Louise Stratten (Dorothy’s sister, remember?) Also costarring is Cybill Shepherd, who became a star in Peter’s “The Last Picture Show.”
