Young girls have been hip to Ansel Elgort, 23, for a while now, but until this weekend he could walk down the street relatively unnoticed (despite being 6’4”) Baby Driver opens this weekend and that’s going to change EVERYTHING. It’s a teenage dream movie – great music, cool cars, action galore, and even a sweet romance. Ansel’s provocative role is destined to launch him into stardom a la Jennifer Lawrence. The baby-faced actor does have a real-life girlfriend – his high school sweetheart, who happens to be a ballerina. Somehow that makes him even more appealing. Anyway, Baby Driver is a movie that’s hard not to like, even if you are NOT a fan of action, like us….

More complete garbage from the cinema.
When I was that age there were the wonderful John Hughes films, films like Back to the Future and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. What happened ? Janet how can you live with yourself promoting this trash for the Walmart $1 DVD bin?
I couldn’t even get 45 seconds into the trailer for this film before I lost interest. What complete trash coming out of Hollywood !
Often confused with that other young (albeit much shorter) actor with a very similar name–who was in the recent Warren Beatty pic that bombed worse than just about anything McDonna has extruded on film..
That would be Alden Ehrenreich and even though he’s only about 5 feet in heels, he does resemble Elgort.
The movie he made with Beatty was Rules Don’t Apply, and its domestic gross was just over 3 million–on a 25 million budget. Yikes.
But Alden’s the new young Han Solo, so, WINNING.
…………GoodBye!!
I suspect part of this movies budget went into paying reviewers for positive reviews. I saw this movie and it was positively lame, the only part I liked was this ansel kid, but let’s face it, he’s not enough to make up for spending $30 on two tickets. I want my money back.
