Alysa Liu has single-handedly revived figure skating! According to my source in the industry, the once popular sport was losing its appeal until Alysa stunned the world and took home the gold medal with striped hair and piercings while skating to Donna Summer. Over the past few months since she captured the gold, there has been a whopping 200% increase in new skaters signing up for professional lessons across the USA. Don’t be too surprised if U.S.Figure Skating (the governing body for the sport) announces an Alysa Liu scholarship. Just remember where you read it. Real US figure skaters were Dorothy Hamill, Scott Hamilton , Peggy Fleming, Nancy Kerrigan, Michelle Kwan to name a few.
