ADAM LAMBERT IS THE MODERN LIBERACE

This how Adam Lambert looked while walking around New York this week and we couldn’t help being reminded of Liberace! Back in the 1960’s, Liberace was an extremely flamboyant Las Vegas entertainer with a penchant for fur coats, glittery sport jackets, and feather CAPES. He also flaunted a lacquered high pompadour – comparable to Adam’s hair. Liberace insisted he was NOT gay his entire life. He even sued a UK paper for implying he WAS, and won a considerable amount of money. Before he died Liberace was sued by a 22 year old ex-boyfriend/chauffeur for palimony and they settled out of court. Adam, who never leaves the house without eyeliner, waited until after he LOST on American Idol to talk about being gay. Would he have confessed if he had WON first place on the show? Probably…

  1. I wonder if someone obliges you to publicly comment on your sex life so you can brazenly demand it from celebrities? Adam is first and foremost a singer, songwriter, actor, and he wasn’t walking around New York, he was heading to the taping of Andy Cohen’s show with Kylie Minogue, which airs tonight.
This shallow comment seems to confirm the maxim that gossip girls don’t have enough brains in their heads. Adam has lived in LA since the age of 18 and had already come out to his family and friends when he participated in the eighth season of American Idol in 2009: “No one gives you an instruction manual on how to be a queer celebrity,” “Before ten years was not such a clean lane. I’d been in the arts, in LA, my whole adult life at that point, so [my sexuality] wasn’t an issue.”
And also… in which country pub does the AI C8 winner sing?
