WOODY ALLEN DID SOMETHING RIGHT

Our favorite Spanish couple, Penelope Cruz, 43, and Javier Bardem, 49, introduced their new film Loving Pablo in Madrid. It’s the true story of Virginia Vallejo, a Spanish journalist who fell in love with notorious –and married- drug lord Pablo Escobar. She documented their volatile and dangerous romance in her memoir. We love that these two top actors from Spain actually met and fell for each other while filming Woody Allen’s movie Vicky Christina Barcelona in 2008. They married in 2010 and have two kids.

    Vicky Christina Barcelona was an EXCELLENT movie, as was Blue Jasmine, starring Cate Blanchett as Ruth Madoff. Say what you will about Woody, but he makes GREAT movies.

    They met years before Vicky Christina Barcelona, they were both romantic leads in a movie called Jamón Jamón which came out in 1992.
