Mariska is obese. Look up the term if you don’t believe it. She looks awful and her behind is huge.
If it is truly due to her meds, then so be it. But, we can’t know what she is on.
Also it’s not what a “momma” has to look like, it isn’t ‘full figured’ or many of the other excuses I’ve read.
I like her. I miss her costar Christopher Meloni, but I’d miss her if he stayed and she had left.
I wish she’d except responsibility for her appearance cause she looks bad. How many female stars who are getting older now appear on tv with a large weight gain. Too many and I don’t like it.
Yeah I can say so,,meds had made me gain and I am permanently disabled, however I lost the weight by sacrifice and life style changes. Any one who wants to can, except maybe in certain medical circumstances.
Just saying I really want her to care what we, her fans think and get serious about losing it.

This has pissed me off… Mariska is the most wonderful, beautiful actress out there. i admier the fact she is a size 8, and that she knows she is healthy and normal.. hollywood is the place where mental suiside happens, cause if your not a size two your a fat a** which is not true. I am only 13 and at a healthy weight every day i see models who are nothing but bones and ask myself “am i fat” but i know im not… its because of the media girls my age are starting to ask these guestions, but if there is one thing i learned from being a mariska fan is… be who you are not for who others want you to be! <3<3 Love you Mariska

You would be surpuised how many people do…very suprised. She is a wonderful women who donates half her money to charitys. I agree with Bensler. I don’t think any one has the right to judge her. Who the hell cares if she has gained weight? She’s a wonderful person, and an amazing actress. AND she is beautiful. She looks great considering her age. She’s healthy, and thats all that matters. Especially since she has just recovered from the collapsed lungs. Half of you people are being so shallow. I like Mariska but I hate the show and have stopped watching it or buying the DVDs. The reason is Christopher Meloni. At one time I would ignore him and just concentrate on the other characters but he just wrecks the whole viewing experience. I can’t stand him and his portrayal of the character he plays. I think the show would be hundred percent better if they removed Meloni permanently–he is horrible. Now I just hope the series tanks.

I have a feeling that Mariska is not stuck-up and would glady talk to a fan. She will lose the weight when docs tell her to….first she has to be sure her lungs and overall health are OK. (She got most of her looks from her father).

Some medications will make you gain weight, and since Mariska had those problems with her lungs, that’s most likely what has happened. Once she’s off the meds, she can work on losing however much weight she wants to. You haters are really such pathetic creatures. Grow the f*ck UP!

NOT every woman is a size 2. Mariska is a woman with a nice figure who doesnt happen to be anorexic. Doesnt mean she’s pregnant. Her mother was also a voluptuous woman and i’m sure Marish got her great body form her. Shows what happens when a person eats a balanced diet on a regular basis. From a medical standpoint. It has been long enough that she most likely isnt on steroids any longer.
I’m glad she is proud of her body and embraces being a good role model for girls who dont puke every five minutes to stay skinny.
