Wheel Of Fortune

VANNA WHITE: HER DAYS ARE NUMBERED TOO

Our game show source, yes we have one, just informed us that Vanna White is ALSO planning to retire from Wheel of Fortune after next season. Longtime host, Pat Sajak just announced that he’s stepping down next year after over 40 years on the popular show. Our source says Pat and Vanna made the decision to retire together and they also decided to let Pat announce it first and then Vanna will after. Pat started on the show a tad before Vanna so that’s why they decided it made sense. Our source is adamant THAT Vanna will make her retirement announcement soon. That’s TWO big jobs up for grabs!

VANNA WHITE FEEDS THE METER

Vanna White is likely worth around 40 million dollars but she still worries about getting parking tickets in Beverly Hills. Vanna has an incredibly steady job – she’s been co-hosting Wheel of Fortune since 1982. In the 80’s she was a tabloid favorite and tried acting in an NBC movie called Goddess of Love, but it was a huge embarrassment so she stuck to her game show and it paid off handsomely. At 61, she still looks girlish and adorable. Last we heard, she was dating building developer John Donaldson.

WOULD YOU WATCH “WHEEL OF FORTUNE” IN 3D?

Maybe James Cameron opened a can of worms with his updated version of 3D. Now TV is jumping on the bandwagon and the first jumpers appear to be – of all things – game shows. Most of the game shows like “The Price Is Right” have been around for decades and producers are desperate to make them hipper without changing the basic elements so loved by their fans. “Wheel Of Fortune” has already filmed a 3D example of the show and they’re seriously discussing “keeping the show fresh” by offering 3D. They must be hoping to attract a young audience. 3D TV’s are already being sold and it’s predicted that 4.3 million will be in circulation by the end of this year. Imagine Vanna and Pat spinning that wheel in 3D.
