Water For Elephants

NO KIDDING: ROB PATTINSON AND HIS ELEPHANT COSTAR HAVE REAL CHEMISTRY

It’s nothing new for costars to fall in love during the making of a movie, but in Rob Pattinson’s case, the costar was an elephant. (So Kristen Stewart has nothing to worry about.) Before Rob signed for his role in “Water for Elephants,” the director introduced him to Tai his elephant costar, and Rob was immediately enchanted. He loves animals and agreed to take the part. Reese Witherspoon did most of the on-camera stunts with Tai, but Rob learned a few of his own, just for fun. Rob let her pick him up and he rode around on her. The director observed that Tai developed real feelings for Pattinson (like almost every other woman alive) and it was obvious when they were together. As for Rob, he cried on Tai’s last day of shooting.

ROB PATTINSON HAS A FAMILIAR LOOK IN “WATER FOR ELEPHANTS”

Seeing Rob Pattinson in this period movie “Water For Elephants” reminds us of James Dean in “East of Eden.” We’re thinking, that since James Franco bought the rights to Sal Mineo’s life story, he might want to think about casting Rob as Dean, who played a big part in Mineo’s world.

ROB PATTINSON’S “ECLIPSE” BROKE BOXOFFICE RECORDS

Where was Rob Pattinson today? Was he resting on his laurels after his movie “Eclipse” took in 68.5 million dollars and topped “Transformers 2” for the biggest Wednesday opening night EVER? Hardly. The main reason for Eclipse’s success was working on the LA set of his new movie “Water for Elephants” and looking yummy in a vintage tuxedo. SO yummy, that he has to be escorted to and from his trailer.

CHRISTOPH WALTZ AND HIS TRADEMARK BOOTS

Christoph Waltz can’t get out of those vintage riding pants and boots that look so good on him. His Oscar winning Nazi character in “Inglourious Basterds” wore the same authoritative style. Christoph plays a volatile animal trainer for a circus in “Water for Elephants” and apparently he gives Rob Pattinson’s character a hard time. Reese Witherspoon plays Waltz’s long suffering wife.

ROB PATTINSON’S DEPRESSION-ERA LOOK IS FAR FROM DEPRESSING

No WONDER Rob Pattinson got his Twilight hair cut off. In his currently filming movie “Water for Elephants,” he plays a veterinary student who impulsively hops a freight train and joins the circus as their animal caregiver – and it all happens during the great depression. Apparently his character becomes friendly with the beautiful equestrian performer played by Reese Witherspoon who is married to the powerful but aberrant animal trainer played by Oscar winner Christoph Waltz. Rob’s character also forms a sweet relationship with an elephant.
