Thomas Jane

THOMAS JANE: LONG TIME NO SEE

It’s been awhile since we came across Hung star Thomas Jane, but he’s always been a pretty fascinating character. Right now he’s at the Venice Film Festival promoting his new movie Run Hide Fight about a violent school shooting. Jane’s last film, The Vanished, in which he costarred with Anne Heche, is now in some theaters and On Demand. Anne (currently rehearsing for Dancing with the Stars) and Thomas admit they “fell in love” while playing man and wife in that movie, and are now a couple! And they have a lot in common – remember Thomas was rumored to have done a little male hustling on Santa Monica Blvd when he was 18, and Anne used to be Ellen Degeneres’ girlfriend! Could be a perfect match…

ANNE HECHE AND THOMAS JANE: MADE FOR EACH OTHER?

Here’s a couple we can enjoy seeing together. They both have interesting histories. Anne Heche, 49, and Thomas Jane, 50, costarred on HBO’s Hung as a divorced couple. Jane played an underpaid Detroit schoolteacher who became a male prostitute for the money. Jane also implied that he had done some real-life hustling of his own as a teen in Hollywood. (We had heard that rumor and were delighted when he owned up to it.) Anne had a notorious crazy-time romance with Ellen DeGeneres that ended badly. Anne and Thomas (both are now divorced with kids) were longtime friends – they started holding hands a few months ago, and now it’s a full-blown romance.

THOMAS JANE: I WAS A “GAY FOR PAY” TEENAGE HUSTLER

We were frankly astounded when Thomas Jane admitted to dabbling in gay hustling on Santa Monica Boulevard when he was 18 and broke and homeless in Los Angeles. Thomas matter-of-factly told his story to the LA Times. In fact, we knew about Jane’s gay history and he was once the unnamed subject in a blind item we wrote. He’s not the first heterosexual actor to resort to being “gay for pay,” but we think he’s the first to ADMIT it, and we love him for that! It makes his character on “Hung” even more interesting…
