Now that Kat Von D has dumped sleazeball Jesse James for the last time, she has turned her attention to the tattoo of his face as a kid in the 5th grade that she foolishly tattooed on her rib cage last July. At the time she did it to “prove her love” and quite a fuss was made over it on her TV show. Now she has quietly started to remove the large tattoo and all final traces of her former fiancee.

Rooney Mara grew back her eyebrows, washed off her tattoos and plucked out the piercings her character Lisbeth Salander sported in “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” The result: she looked almost virginal at the London premier. Her white Givenchy couture gown was both sexy and innocent – Rooney obviously doesn’t want to be typecast as a Goth outcast. Her movie is expected to be a Christmas blockbuster despite the dark subject matter.

Nowadays she’s spending a lot of time in New York and the people she’s hanging out with are not so much into the music scene. Sinead O’Connor came to her senses and realized that looking like a matronly former nun would not help her reputation as a controversial personality and singer. In 1992, Saturday Night Live producers and viewers were shocked (believe it or not) when Sinead tore up a photo of the pope and threw the pieces at the camera in protest of sexual abuse in the Catholic church. (Good for her!) Her obstinate spirit and shaved head gave her the rebellious reputation. So when she turned up 20 years later looking ordinary, her career seemed doomed. But she took a good look in the mirror and shaved her head again and added a big Jesus tattoo on her chest. She HAD to do something, she has a new album coming out in February!
We ALMOST didn’t recognize David Beckham in these fashion shots he did for Fantastic Man magazine in the UK. His darker hued pompadour hairstyle threw us off until we recognized the tats. If he ever gives up soccer he certainly could have a career as a model.
Here’s another unique male model that turned up for Fashion Week in Paris. Rick Genest, aka “Zombie Boy,” has all-over face and skeletal body tattoos. Every inch of his body is covered. The Montreal born model was a sensation when he appeared in Thierry Mugler’s fashion show in Paris and beautiful girls were waiting in line to have their pictures taken with him. He also appeared in Lady Gaga’s video ”Born Like This.” Rick told WWD “When I was a kid I fell in love with zombies and wanted to be one.” No kidding.
Vanessa Hudgens needs a new boyfriend or an exciting job opportunity because the 22 year old seems to be bored out of her mind. Why else does a successful and beautiful young woman go out and get tattooed in this day and age? What was hot in the 90’s has become tiresome, with tattoo removal offices rivaling tattoo parlors in number. Desperate for excitement, Vanessa got another butterfly tattoo – she has one on her back and this one’s visible on her neck. (Apparently the name Vanessa translates to butterfly in Greek, as if that’s an excuse.) Maybe this is one of the few ways Disney kids can rebel without consequences.
Back in June we told you that Sandra Bullock was aware that her estranged husband Jesse James was a big fan of L.A. Ink reality star Kat Von D while they were still married. At that time she didn’t suspect any funny business on Jesse’s part. Sneaky Jesse made it clear to Kat that he’d like to hook up – however, she never responded. (And we admired her for that.) Now that Jesse’s divorce is over, Kat apparently relented and she and Jesse were seen together in Las Vegas this weekend, dining at the Palms and holding hands, according to People magazine. So Jesse got his wish in the end.
