We love those flamboyant 80’s new wave bands, and particularly Spandau Ballet. It’s delicious to think that guys used to dress up in all that frippery. Spandau Ballet just posted the top photo as a New Year’s greeting to their current fans. The bottom photo is the band in all its new romantic glory. We’ve had a little crush on Martin Kemp ever since we saw him in “The Krays,” The group got back together in 2009 and have been performing ever since. Actually the guys have aged rather well – some better than others.

SPANDAU BALLET: NOT AS FASHION OBSESSED AS THEY USED TO BE

30 years ago, Spandau Ballet debuted at the Festival Della Canzone in San Remo, Italy, and they’re back for more. We always remember the group as a bunch of designer-clad pretty boys. After years of squabbling, their sons talked them into getting back together. Martin Kemp, Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble patched up their differences and are performing together again. Below, watch their “True” video.

THIS MUCH IS TRUE: MARTIN KEMP IS STILL HOT

Wow! Martin Kemp from the 80’s New Romantic band, Spandau Ballet, was photographed in London looking magnificent. Dare we say, BETTER than he did as a rock star? Kemp, 52, is also an actor and he was amazing in the British gangster movie “The Krays.” (See it- you’ll like it!) Right now he’s promoting a documentary about Spandau Ballet called “Soul Boys of the Western World” and he revealed his grey hair for the first time.
