JERRY LEE LEWIS: REMEMBERING EARLY ROCKABILLY

Jerry Lee Lewis was inducted into the the Country Music Hall of Fame today (it’s about time – the Rock n’Roll Hall of Fame snapped him up in 1986) and it brought back memories. Jerry was one of the original rockabillies (right, Brian Setzer?) and when I was writing for Star Magazine, I always went Continue reading “JERRY LEE LEWIS: REMEMBERING EARLY ROCKABILLY”

(Coincidentally or not, the same weekend as Coachella.) Dita Von Teese is Continue reading “VIVA LAS VEGAS ROCKABILLY WEEKEND IS THE ANTI-COACHELLA”

Rockabilly singer Richard Hawley was performing in London with his band when he announced that he had been writing songs with a “female singer” and brought her onstage. The audience was flabbergasted when Lisa Marie Presley popped onstage and sang a bluesy song called ”Weary.” Sheffield born Hawley, who has been called a “modern day Continue reading “LISA MARIE PRESLEY HAS A NEW MUSIC PARTNER – U.K. ROCKABILLY RICHARD HAWLEY”
