The missing piece to the Robin Williams puzzle has surfaced at last. His suicide inspired many discussions of why a person SO fortunate in SO many ways would entertain the notion of suicide. Depression can be treated. Substance abuse can be treated. And he had a loving family to support him throughout. But Parkinson’s Disease cannot be cured. And it can be more devastating than Alzheimer’s. Robin’s wife just mentioned the Parkinsons diagnosis today, and didn’t think it had any effect on Robin’s death. She was wrong. It’s an awful degenerative disease that destroys quality of life. Combine that diagnosis with Robin’s other problems and you’ve got the answer. So sad.

You’ve read a lot about the late, great Robin Williams today, but here’s something you probably never knew about him. He was a closet dandy. Robin was so funny and entertaining that observers seldom noticed what he was wearing. Few people realize that he loved extravagant designer fashion, often in black. He was well known at the most exclusive stores like Maxfield in LA, San Francisco, and New York. Robin was courageous – he delighted in wearing fashion forward styles like Commes Des Garcons that many men are afraid to touch. His personality was so BIG that it drew attention from his style – but he WAS an underrated fashion icon. (Click HERE to see what he wore to pick up his Oscar.)

ROBIN WILLIAMS SWEATS LIKE A RACEHORSE

It’s no surprise that Sarah Michelle Gellar is said to be complaining about her costar Robin Williams on their new CBS series “The Crazy Ones.” Star magazine claims she cannot tolerate his personal hygiene – especially up close under hot lights. Fact is, Robin has always has a BIG problem with profuse sweating. Years ago he used to shop at a very expensive store in San Francisco. Before they would allow him to try on their designer clothes, the clerk would hand him a long sleeve t -shirt to put on first. After he finished shopping they would launder the shirt and have it ready for his next visit. That’s how they solved the sweat problem.

Robin Williams, 61, took his wife Susan Schneider, 47, shopping in Soho. Robin married the graphic designer a year ago and she goes wherever he goes. Recently he’s been filming Lee Daniels’ “The Butler “ in New Orleans with Oprah and Forest Whitaker. Robin is playing President Dwight D Eisenhower – maybe that’s why he looks so serious and mature.

She was named after Princess Zelda, a fictional character in the “Legend of Zelda” video game series that her dad was crazy about. We can see she has embraced her name because she’s wearing a t-shirt featuring the video game character! (Above, Zelda is holding hands with a mystery man in Hollywood.)
