MATTHEW PERRY’S BATMAN COLLECTION IS UP FOR GRABS

Turns out the late Matthew Perry spent a considerable amount of his Friends’ fortune on Batman memorabilia. He identified with both Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne – that’s why he often called himself “Mattman.” When he couldn’t sleep at night, he’d scroll on eBay for more Batman collectibles. Now his family is planning to auction off his collection to raise money for his drug and alcohol foundation. My source estimates that Mathew’s extensive collection of everything Batman could fetch millions at auctions for two reasons – many of the collectible items are rare AND the provenance of them being owned and treasured by Matthew increases the value. Though still in mourning, the family wants to focus on turning the proceeds from the auction into a cash infusion for the foundation they just launched. This IS what Matt would have wanted…

MARGOT ROBBIE IS TAKING HOME LOTS OF PINK – AND GREEN!

Now that Barbie has surpassed the BILLION dollar box office haul, studio executives are SO thrilled that they gifted its star and producer, Margot Robbie with THE vintage pink Corvette convertible used in the movie as a thank you. (For those in the know- Angelyne will be jealous!) As we previously revealed, Margot was able to keep all of her custom pink carpet fashions, so this adds to her valuable haul of memorabilia. Don’t think for a second though, that Margot is only walking away with some clothes and a car! My source says she’s also getting a percentage of the box office which will translate into a NICE chunk of change. AND she’s onboard for a sequel…

KELLY OSBOURNE LOVES OLD HOLLYWOOD

A friend was browsing on Kelly Osbourne’s instagram page, looking for info on her “85 pound weight loss” because it seemed so extreme. Surprise! This friend came across a photo that Kelly posted on Instagram a few years ago when she did a magazine photoshoot at my house. I have Lana Turner’s shorts and halter from her movie “The Postman Always Rings Twice” framed and hanging on my hallway wall. The outfit came from MGM’s huge wardrobe sale years ago. Kelly wrote: “This is the coolest thing I have ever seen in someone’s house!” How nice that Kelly appreciated this piece of Hollywood memorabilia! (I treasure it!)

BILLY CRYSTAL AND PENNY MARSHALL WERE DUPED BY SPORTS COLLECTIBLE DEALER

A top collector of baseball memorabilia in New York has been exposed as a fraud and he cheated sports crazed celebrities out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Six years after Barry Halper’s death, it turns out he was a con man who sold replicas and forged autographs as one-of-a-kind gems. Among those burned are sports fanatic Billy Crystal, who paid $239,000 for “Mickey Mantle’s 1960 glove” and Penny Marshall, who paid $387,500 for “the last glove Lou Gehrig used in 1939.” Both were judged to be fake. We imagine these items were framed and displayed on the walls of their homes with considerable pride.
