HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent Valentine’s Day apart, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t celebrate. I just heard that among other tokens of his affection, Harry gave Meghan a remake of the black sheep sweater his mom Princess Diana wore and made famous. The sweater was recently reissued by Warm and Wonderful and quickly sold out, but Harry found one at an online reseller.

The biggest story of the week was the Kansas City Chief’s devastating and one-sided loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in last Sunday’s Super Bowl. While the game was big news, the bigger news happened right after the final play, when KC gave their star player, Travis Kelce, a deadline to decide whether or not he wants to continue playing or retire. Here’s what we know. Travis’ better half, Taylor Swift is urging him to hang up his helmet and begin the next chapter of their lives including starting a family and focusing on his much desired Hollywood career. (JCH readers already know he has a modeling job) Travis hasn’t made up his mind yet, but my source says he’s leaning towards taking Taylor’s advice.

Speaking of the Super Bowl, the other big news was Kendrick Lamar’s statement-filled halftime show. Kendrick made numerous obvious and subtle references to his feud with Drake and we are hearing that a well connected group of their mutual pals recently had a conference call to brainstorm how to mend the fences between the two rappers and end the feud. Apparently they feel the bad blood is bad for business, and they’re hoping to broke a peace deal -with one possible scenario involving a duet between the two feuding rappers. The thinking behind it is that the proposed song would rake in millions and -lets face it- money can solve some problems.

Another week, another barrage of Diddy lawsuits from both men and women who are claiming they were sexually assaulted by the incarcerated rapper. If that wasn’t enough for Diddy to worry about, we are hearing that he’s quickly aged behind bars since he’s unable to access his high priced anti-aging treatments. My source says that although he’s been locked up for less than a year, he already looks 10 years older! Diddy is trying to get permission to get Botox and other procedures done while he’s awaiting trial, and since he’s not yet convicted, but only charged, his legal team feels a judge might grant his wish. Long story short, Diddy knows he’s going to trial and he wants to look his best.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Teddi Mellencamp made news when she announced on social media she underwent surgery for multiple brain tumors. While it’s probably the last think she’s focused on, we just heard that Andy Cohen wants to brighten her spirits by having her back on the popular series next season as a friend of the Housewives.

Kayne West made headlines for all of the wrong reasons – including going on a racist rant, spending $8 million on a Super Bowl ad to sell T-shirts with swastikas, and getting dumped by his wife Bianca Censori. We know this. The few celebrity friends Kanye has left have been reaching out to none other than his former mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, to get her to help. First of all, Kris has access to very rich and powerful people, like Jeff Bezos. Second, Kayne is the father to 4 of her grandchildren and third, when he’s sane, Kayne seems to have a bond with Kris. While Kris is worried about her former son-in law, she isn’t sure she wants to get involved in his issues, but she has agreed to think it over.

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

Understandably, the Los Angeles fires continue to be the biggest story out of Hollywood this week. We just heard this interesting tidbit. The popular online resale site, The Real Real is being overwhelmed with requests from consignors who lost everything in the fires requesting their things back. The site is popular with the wealthy and celebrities and Melissa Rivers is one of their clients who is requesting to have her items returned. My source says the company is overwhelmed with requests from the fire victims since a large percentage of those affected use the site to sell their used clothing.

Carrie Underwood made headlines when it was announced she would be the headliner at Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration. Carrie, who previously kept her political beliefs close to her vest, didn’t come out and endorse Trump, but she did explain that her reason for performing is to hopefully bring the country together. We just heard that Carrie was by far the first choice of the inaugural committee, but other bigger stars refused to participate. Not only that, but the celebrity guest list of those agreeing to attend is shaping up to be a who’s who of has-beens.

Justin Baldoni made the news once again for suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for $400 million for defamation of character and extortion. We know this. Odds are, this case and Blake’s previously filed case against Justin will never see the light of day inside of a courtroom. These competing lawsuits, stemming from their movie, This Ends with Us, is the LAST thing the studios involved in the production and release (Columbia and Sony) want, so behind closed doors negotiations are beginning. We heard a deal is being floated to have both parties drop their suits and Blake and Justin will walk away with guaranteed movie deals. My source adds that the studios will likely be the ones who put all of this to rest.

Kate Middleton made headlines when she visited the hospital where she received treatment and announced she was in remission. We just heard that the popular Royal is gearing up for her first major TV interview where she will disclose her exact illness and talk about her treatment, prognosis and more. The BBC is finalizing plans to secure the interview with a HUGE donation to Kate’s favorite charities.

Speaking of Royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in the news for visiting the ravished LA areas destroyed by the wildfires. Some people (including blast from the past) Justine Bateman blasted the duo’s visit as nothing more than a photo-op. We just heard that Harry and Meg are also spearheading a fundraiser at their Montecito, California estate with plans to charge attendees $100,000 each for the chance to meet and mingle. The event is being planned now, and already there’s interest among some high moneyed neighbors who have yet to befriend the royals. Meg and Harry are picking up the tab for the staff and catering with 100% of the proceeds going to the fire victims.

Finally, another blast from the past, Sally Struthers, made headlines for going on a podcast and dishing the dirt on Betty White and Norman Lear. Sally took a lot of flak for speaking ill of the dead since they can’t defend themselves, but we just heard the entire thing was to test the waters and see if the public was still interested in what Sally had to say. Apparently they are, so now Sally is shopping around a book deal for her autobiography where she will drop many more secrets about her decades in Hollywood.

MEGHAN MARKLE IS THINKING BIG

If things go according to her plan, Meghan Markle will be on a shelf at a Target near you. Meghan is working hard to brand herself as a lifestyle guru similar to Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow, and she started off with her website, American Riviera Orchard, where she hawks strawberry jam. Fruit preserves, however, are only the beginning of Meghan’s aspirations, and she’s hoping to EXPAND her product line in collaboration with the popular chain. According to my source, Meghan has been privately meeting with executives about creating a collection of Santa Barbara style home products that would be on shelves next year.

MEGHAN MARKLE RESCUED ELLEN AND PORTIA’S PETS

There was no chicken left behind when Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi packed up and fled the USA for the UK. In addition to their menagerie of dogs, the gals were “parents” to almost a dozen hens and roosters at their sprawling Montecito, California estate. They packed up their pooches but couldn’t get through the red tape to take their poultry pets out of the country, so their neighbor and friend, Meghan Markle adopted them! Meghan happened to have a designer built chicken coop on the property she shares with husband Prince Harry, so it made sense for her to take the birds.

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made headlines when a NY tabloid speculated on the state of their marriage since they haven’t been accompanying each other while on various trips. Here’s what we know. Aside from typical marital issues there’s no trouble in paradise. As Meg and Harry settle into their marriage they’re at that stage where they’re comfortable spending time apart, especially when it involves business trips and ventures. My well placed source says all is fine and that the couple is actually trying to expand their family.

Paris Hilton made the news when she shared an iconic paparazzi photo from 18 years ago of her, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan, leaving the Beverly Hills Hotel. It was iconic because at the time Paris was the world’s biggest reality star (and one of the first) Britney the biggest popstar, and Lindsay the biggest movie star of her generation. Don’t think for a second that this was some random social media post – conniving Paris has a plan. She’s eager to reclaim the level of fame she enjoyed 2 decades ago and is negotiating to team up with Britney and Lindsay for a movie about -what else- 3 former teen stars who reunite 20 years later. Paris has a team working on the rom-com script and my source says Netflix is interested.

Oliver Hudson was a topic of conversation this week after revealing Kurt Russell offered to adopt him and his sister Kate (Kurt is the longtime companion of their mom Goldie Hawn). What he didn’t reveal, though, was after all these years, Goldie and Kurt might actually be MARRIED. The former couple applied for a PRIVATE marriage license (available in California for an additional fee -this means there’s no public record of the marriage and it’s all kept private- they’re extremely popular with celebrities and the upper class for privacy reasons). My source says that Goldie has dropped a few hints but has yet to confirm if she and Kurt went through with it or just applied for the license.

Reality fans will either rejoice or be sad that Bravo announced the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules was getting replaced except for Lisa Vanderpump. Loyal readers will remember we reported some rumblings about this months ago. Here’s what we know. The show is eventually being retooled to have all of the action take place in Las Vegas where Lisa is spearheading some new ventures. The new season will start at her restaurant Sur in West Hollywood with a new cast, but quickly spread to Sin City, where Andy Cohen and the folks at Bravo are eventually planning to expand their Real Housewives franchise with Lisa starring in at least the first season.

Sean Diddy Combs made the news when he was denied bail for the third time, but don’t think for a moment the disgraced rapper is giving up. We just heard that Diddy is planning to either REPLACE his entire legal team or at the very least beef it up with some new players. Get this… he’s hoping to poach some of Donald Trump’s former criminal attorneys! My source says Sean can’t believe he’s still locked up and denied bail, so he’s willing to spend WHATEVER it takes on the best legal eagles to get him sprung from the pokey on bail until his upcoming May 2025 trial.

And finally, Vice President Kamala Harris made the news for taking some time off and visiting Hawaii for Thanksgiving (a well deserved vacation in our opinion). Here’s the latest on Kamala. Once she’s done with Washington, DC her FIRST interview will be with her buddy Oprah Winfrey where she will discuss her thoughts on her last minute presidential campaign. Her next professional step will be hosting a podcast as she decides whether to continue to pursue a career in politics or focus on the private sector.

MEGHAN MARKLE ENJOYS SOME ROYAL FRINGE BENEFITS

Being married to royalty DOES have some perks, including getting tons of free clothes from fashion designers looking for publicity. So it should come as no surprise that Meghan Markle’s closet is bursting at the seams. While the practical princess donates many of the items, she’s gotten a little crafty with some of the more expensive designer pieces. She consigns them online with the help of a friend. Meghan wouldn’t dare risk having HER name attached to selling clothes – especially since she gets most of the stuff for free – so a trusted friend handles the consigning. According to my source, Meghan and the friend then split the proceeds, raking in a pretty penny while emptying her closets.

ELLEN DEGENERES AND MEGHAN MARKLE?

Ellen DeGeneres is desperate to reinvent herself after getting canceled by Hollywood for being mean, and now she’s turned to none other than her Montecito, California neighbor Meghan Markle for help! Meghan recently launched her lifestyle brand, American Riviera, where she plans on selling locally produced products like her jam. Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi are both devout vegans, have been secretly working on a line of animal free products (like banana bread.) Now Ellen wants Meghan to market them on her website. According to my source, it’s a real Sophie‘s Choice moment for Meghan. She has a lot riding on making this venture a success, and while she considers Ellen a friend, she’s not sure she wants to be in business with her, as she fears it could cause a lot of negative publicity and backlash.

MEGHAN MARKLE IS INSPIRED BY GWYNETH PALTROW

We previously reported that Meghan Markle was launching her own oddly named brand, American Riviera Orchard, to sell products online that capture the essence of her new hometown of Montecito. Although Meghan has quickly adapted to the Montecito lifestyle since relocating there with her husband Prince Harry, she wasn’t born and raised in the ritzy oceanfront community. She grew up in the working class L.A. suburb of Canoga Park. However, Meghan isn’t content with just an online presence – our source says she’s working with a commercial realtor in the area to open a brick and mortar store. Meghan feels having an actual store (or a few) will strengthen her brand. She got the idea from Gwyneth Paltrow, whose successful online brand, Goop, has several stores, including one in Montecito. Meghan is looking to open her store in the EXACT same area where the Goop store is located.

Alec Baldwin Billie Eilish Choir Divorce Meghan Markle Teacher Trial

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

Alec Baldwin recently filed a motion to dismiss the charges he’s facing in the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, but here’s what we know. Behind closed doors Alec’s legal team is hoping to negotiate a plea deal involving no jail time, a clear record, community service and a HUGE donation. Alec is concerned that a jury found armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed guilty in the case, so he’s secretly done a 180 and instructed his high-priced lawyers to make a deal!

Last Sunday Billie Eilish named dropped her former choir teacher, Mandy Bringham, when she won her second Oscar for Best Original Song for What Was I Made For, from the Barbie movie. Other media outlets tracked down the teacher but only WE will tell you that Billie personally reached out to Mandy days after the historic win, and the two are getting together in the near future. Our source says Billie plans to offer Mandy a job on her team as, what else, a vocal coach.

For reality TV fans, the buzz this week was the final reunion episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the current state of OG star, Kyle Richard’s marriage to estranged husband Maurico Umansky. We can tell you this tidbit: Despite Kyle not revealing many deets on the reunion, our well placed source says that marriage is kaput and a very friendly divorce is being negotiated. If there’s any divorce drama it will only be manufactured for next season of RHOBH, but the soon-to-be exes have already decided who gets what and may plan to live together as friends for a bit until their youngest daughter Portia turns 18 in two years.

Meghan Markle made headlines when she debuted a new website which she eventually will use to hawk merchandise. Way back in November, we told you that Meghan and Harry were looking at wineries to sell their own wine and this latest venture goes along with that. Meghan hopes to be the next Martha Stewart and build an empire based around her kitchen skills, including her own wine as well as olive oils, jams, cookbooks, etc. Our source adds this tidbit you will only read here – Meghan’s Montecito neighbor and good pal Oprah Winfrey is an angel investor in the project.

MEGHAN MARKLE: IS IT TIME FOR BABY #3?

Meghan Markle is rarely one to pass up a nice glass of Tignanello, the tasty Italian red wine she has favored for years. But that’s exactly what she’s been doing recently- leading observers to question whether she’s pregnant with baby number three! It’s common knowledge in Meghan’s social circles that the pricey wine is her go-to. She’s SUCH a fan she even named her now defunct blog, The Tig. Not only is Meghan avoiding alcohol when with her friends, but lately she’s dressing is looser garments. Of course, this is pure speculation at this point, but what we do know for sure is that she and Prince Harry have been actively trying to expand their family. She confided to a pal that since there is a 2 year age difference between her son Archie,4, and daughter Lilibet,2, she wants to have one more child so they can all be close in age.
