Lane Garrison

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PRISON BREAK’S LANE GARRISON?

Texas born Lane Garrison, now 37, thought he had it MADE in Hollywood when he was cast as a regular on the Prison Break series in 2006. But after just one season, he was involved in a DUI and his passenger was killed. Ironically, he was convicted of vehicular manslaughter, served his time, and left prison in 2009. Life was grim for awhile and he struggled financially. But gradually he started to work again and has been cast in several films this year. He’s been filming in Alabama for a few months and he fell for a “down-home” local country girl. He just learned he’s about to become a father and he’s more than ready. Life goes on…

LANE GARRISON AND KRISTEN STEWART HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON

Kristen+Stewart+Lan#1cut

“Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison’s comeback continues. (He played Buck in the Bonnie & Clyde TV mini-series) His movie with Kristen Stewart, “Camp X-Ray,” had a successful debut at Sundance. Kristen plays a small town girl who enlists in the army and finds herself assigned to Guantanamo Bay. She is surrounded by hostile Muslim prisoners and aggressive squad-mates, but develops an unlikely friendship with a longtime prisoner played by Payman Maadi. Lane plays a prison guard. There WAS speculation that Lane and the now-single Kristen were canoodling, but Lane says they simply shared a love of sports. He and Kristen grabbed their clubs and hit hundreds of golf balls between shots. (Above, director/writer Peter Sattler, Lane, Kristen, and Payman Maadi)

Lane Garrison, 33, really got lucky. When the Prison Break star got out of jail after serving three years for vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving, he had a hard time connecting in Hollywood again. He finally landed a role in “Camp X-Ray” with Kristen Stewart and they are in Sundance right now talking about their movie. It’s the story of a female soldier who has a relationship with a detainee at Guantanamo Bay and Lane plays a prison guard. And judging by this photo, Lane is popular with the fans.

THIS IS WHAT LANE GARRISON AND HIS GIRLFRIEND WERE FIGHTING ABOUT

Now that TMZ has shown you the Lane Garrison video of him fighting with his Playboy girlfriend Ashley Mattingly, you might be wondering WHAT they were fighting about. Ashley had tweeted she was FINISHED with Lane. (Saturday night they were asked to leave the Playboy mansion because they were drunk and sloppy.) When Lane appeared at her apartment building the next day she taunted him with the news that not only was their romance OVER, but she had been cheating on him with a wealthy guy. THAT’S why he tossed her phone away in despair. Lane got mixed up with the wrong girl. Don’t know what will happen to him, but he does deserve some jail time for wearing that awful white hat.

LANE GARRISON WAS ARRESTED SIX DAYS BEFORE HIS PROBATION WOULD HAVE ENDED

Lane Garrison seems to be digging his own grave as fast as he can by associating with the WRONG people. He’s on parole for his 2007 DUI crime where a passenger was killed and he has served time. He fell for Playboy model Ashley Mattingly who unfortunately LOVES to party and encouraged him to do the same. They’ve been involved in two domestic tiffs – on Saturday she accused Lane of abusing her. His friends can’t imagine him being violent. There IS a tape that might or might not clear Lane. Meanwhile, he’s in jail because he can’t raise $50,000 bail. Ironically Lane’s probation had been scheduled to end in SIX DAYS! Now police say he could go away for life (three strikes.)

LANE GARRISON: SOMETIMES A PLAYMATE GIRLFRIEND IS NOT AN ASSET

We’re pretty sure that Lane Garrison is shaking in his boots after that incident where cops were called to his apartment because he and his Playmate girlfriend were having a tiff. Apparently there was no violence and no charges were filed, but Lane was hospitalized, claiming “anxiety.” Since he is on probation for vehicular manslaughter in 2007 (and he served time) Lane has every reason to be anxious. His friends have been worried because Lane’s girlfriend Ashley Mattingly loves to party and enjoys drama, while Lane has no choice but to remain sober and under the radar. This creates problems and hopefully Lane’s probation will not be revoked.

LANE GARRISON: “IT WAS ALL MY FAULT”

We were the first to reveal that Lane Garrison is producing a movie called “One Heart” featuring Michael Evers (above.) Lane talked to In Touch magazine about the movie and the time he spent in jail. He detailed some of the prison conditions he endured, but he DOESN’T want anyone to think he’s complaining. Lane admits HE caused his incarceration to happen because he chose to drink and drive. He went on to say “If talking about what happened to me will prevent one person from drinking and driving, then this whole tragedy won’t have been in vain.” Friends say Lane is genuinely remorseful and learned his lesson.

LANE GARRISON’S JUVENILE PRISON MOVIE “ONE HEART” IS IN THE WORKS

We told you in December that Lane Garrison is becoming a producer and now he’s started work on his first project “One Heart.” It’s about a maximum security juvenile facility (age 13 to 20) in Texas that allowed boys who behaved to form a football team, practice on Friday nights, and challenge local high schools. The team of inmates always had empty bleachers on their side at the schools (no one to cheer them on) and they never won their games. Eventually a kindhearted coach from Faith High School “adopted” the team and provided cheerleaders and students to fill the stands and cheer for them. The inmates started winning and the inspired players went on to lead productive lives. Lane is starring as the coach and he’s already cast Michael Evers as an inmate/football player.

Former “Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison really got lucky when the Sandra Bullock movie “The Blind Side “ became a hit. Lane hopes to become a producer and his first project is “One Heart” – the true story of a football team made up of Texas kids convicted of crimes. It’s an inspiring story and a subject Lane knows a lot about – he’s played football AND he just got out of jail in April after being convicted of DUI manslaughter, The success of “The Blind Side” made Lane’s idea an easier sell and he’s made a deal and he’s almost finished writing the script.
