Jacqueline Bisset

LONG TIME NO SEE: JACQUELINE BISSET

One of our all-time favorites, Jacqueline Bisset, walked the red carpet in Cannes to promote her new movie L’ Amant Double. She speaks fluent French and seems to do more films in France than the US these days. She was the object of many male fantasies, and through the years we documented her long-term romances, but she was never interested in marriage. “Too independent.”

JACQUELINE BISSET: BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE

After Jacqueline Bisset was announced as winner for Best Supporting Actress in a TV miniseries (“Dancing on the Edge”) she took the looongest walk in history (and unsteady) to the podium to accept. Obviously overcome and flustered, she proceeded to make quite a fool of herself. We’ve always been fond of Jacqueline as a person and an actress, and we can’t help but wonder WHAT she ingested before the show that scrambled her brain to that extent. It DID provide, however, a memorable moment for a dull show.

JACQUELINE BISSET KNOWS WHAT MADE ANNE SINCLAIR STAND BY HER MAN

Jacqueline Bisset seems perfectly cast as the wealthy elegant journalist Anne Sinclair, who was inexplicably loyal to her disgraced husband, French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Gerard Depardieu stars as DSK, whose assault on a New York hotel maid led to revelations of numerous indiscretions and his political downfall. For now the movie is being filmed at the Manhattan Criminal Court with the working title “The June Project.” Jackie seems to understand Anne’s character because the actress once said ”I’ve probably understood men too well. I realize they are predatory by nature, and I have a certain acceptance of that fact.” Currently, Anne and her husband are separated and heading for divorce.

GERARD DEPARDIEU HAS NOTHING BUT CONTEMPT FOR DOMINIQUE STRAUSS-KAHN

Gerard Depardieu and Jacqueline Bisset (whom we love) are in New York filming DSK – the story of the philandering French politician, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who violated a New York hotel maid, and this act led to a shocking collection of similar sex charges from other women. His appalling history of behavior with females destroyed his aspirations of becoming President of France. Gerard says he accepted the role because DSK is “very French, arrogant, and smug, and I don’t like him.” Jacqueline plays his American born wealthy wife Anne Sinclair, who was inexplicably supportive of her wayward husband. They have since divorced.
