TO GUY RITCHIE, IT’S STILL A MAN’S WORLD

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen an all-male movie made BY men FOR men, but Guy Ritchie is still promoting machismo. Of course, we were initially intrigued by The Gentlemen because of the attractive male cast and Ritchie’s amusing fast way of cutting his scenes- no wasted time. Too bad the men all had scraggly facial hair and Hugh Grant even managed to look like a worn-out Al Pacino. The plot is all about incredibly egotistical and greedy men attempting to outsmart each other. It’s funny, but reeks of testosterone. The actors have such thick cockney accents that it’s difficult to understand anything except the startling abundance of profanity. (More than we’ve ever heard in any film) Stomach churning violence abounds and when Michelle Dockery’s little used character appears, she acts just like a man. So maybe this film is your cup of tea, or maybe not…

NICOLE KIDMAN’S PERFECT LIFE EVAPORATES IN “THE UNDOING”

Nicole Kidman is looking particularly gorgeous here as she films the HBO limited series The Undoing with Hugh Grant. We are really looking forward to this story because it’s about a WOMAN with problems. Nicole plays a successful therapist in NYC with a devoted oncologist husband and a young son – she has a perfect life. Suddenly, violent things happen and her husband disappears. She is horrified by shocking revelations when her missing husband’s past is scrutinized. Nicole’s character is upset by the clues she missed, and she is forced to start a whole new life. Kidman is producing and it will be directed by a woman!

IS HUGH GRANT AFRAID TO TAKE CHARLIE SHEEN’S JOB?

Hugh Grant’s career is not exactly on fire – he hasn’t had a hit movie in quite awhile. In fact, he toyed with the idea of quitting acting not long ago. The “Notting Hill” star seems ripe for a lucrative TV offer and it doesn’t get much better than a million dollars an episode for “Two and a Half Men.” According to Deadline Hollywood, Chuck Lorre wants to replace his leading man Charlie Sheen with Hugh, but Grant is playing hard to get. (Do you suppose he’s afraid of the wrath of Charlie Sheen?) Just last night Hugh backed away from the deal due to “creative differences,” but we think he’ll come to his senses.

DIVINE BROWN IS GRATEFUL TO HUGH GRANT FOR GIVING HER A “PRETTY WOMAN” LIFE

Divine Brown is living happily ever after thanks to that fateful night in 1995 when she had a $50 sexual encounter with Hugh Grant. Divine (real name Stella Thompson) says that infamous scandal earned her over a million dollars and changed her life. Dozens of interviews later, she gave up the sex trade and moved to Atlanta where she put her two daughters through college. Now she has a new house in the suburbs, a baby, a fiance, and they run a music production company together. Divine likens her experience to “Pretty Woman” and says Hugh was her Richard Gere. We love a happy ending and we bet Hugh does also.
