If you don’t believe Hollywood is a very small place, your opinion might change after you read this item. Jennifer Lopez has been looking for a house to buy since she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. She often brings her mother along (above) to look at homes with her. It so happens, one of the houses she’s interested in belongs to one of Ben’s ex-girlfriends, Gwyneth Paltrow! The Goop founder is selling her $30 million Brentwood estate since she moved to Montecito. And get this… Gwyneth’s house is just a few steps away from the home Ben is now renting. As we told you, Hollywood is a small place – so if J.Lo buys Gwen’s house, she’ll be neighbors with Ben.

APPLE MARTIN: SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALL THE LUCK

Apple Martin, 20, is set to become the next face of Chanel, and the late designer, Karl Lagerfeld, made that prediction when Apple was just four years old. Apple, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, has been compared to a young Bridget Bardot. Last year, Apple sat front row at one of the Chanel shows in Paris, but now she’s set to walk the runway and appear in some of their ads. It’s not a done deal yet, as the final negotiations are being ironed out, but it’s likely to happen before the end of the year.

GOOP FOUNDER GWYNETH PALTROW IS THINKING ABOUT RUNNING FOR OFFICE

During a talk at The Maker’s Conference in Beverly Hills on February 29, Gwyneth Paltrow said (and we agree) that “women should rule the world,” and that’s EXACTLY what the actress and Goop founder plans to do. While Gwyneth didn’t reveal her plan during her appearance, a friend explained that Gwyneth intends to throw her hat into the political arena and run for office. She’s not quite sure what office, but more than likely she’s thinking Senator. Keep an eye out as Gwyneth plans to continue dropping subtle hints about her plan until she’s ready to make the big announcement…

CAN GWYNETH PALTROW SWIM WITH THE SHARKS?

We’ve always enjoyed watching Shark Tank when it pops up somewhere, but the egotistical guys on the show CAN become rather overbearing. Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner are the only female regulars and they make the show much more watchable. SO nice to learn that Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow will be appearing as a guest Shark for the 14th season. In fact, she will be on the September 23 show, which will be LIVE. It’s a smart move for producers to pull in younger and female viewers who can identify with her. Young women need to know how Gwyneth went from actress to mogul and they can certainly use the inspiration. She’s come a long way – from dating Brad Pitt to becoming a businesswoman with 200 million dollars in the bank. Not bad…

IS BRAD PITT THE ONLY MALE HERO IN THE WEINSTEIN SCANDAL?

For some unknown reason, Brad Pitt is not getting the recognition he deserves for being one of the FEW people (and perhaps the ONLY MAN) who confronted Harvey Weinstein for his aggressive sexual behavior. This is a BIG DEAL and it clearly defines Brad’s character. Brad approached Weinstein in a public place and called him out for making a pass at Brad’s then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow and warned him NEVER to do it again. Of the hundreds of women harassed (and far worse) by Harvey Weinstein – is Brad the ONLY decent man who spoke up and courageously addressed Weinstein’s abysmal behavior? None of those other agents, managers, or boyfriends said A WORD? And remember, Brad spoke out BEFORE Harvey’s downfall loosened everyone’s lips! Sorry Angelina, but Brad Pitt is a real life hero!

GWYNETH PALTROW KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK- FASHION-WISE

Red carpet events are so often dominated by bombshell babes competing for attention that it’s really refreshing to see a natural and just plain pretty look. Gwyneth Paltrow, 44, turned up at the Elle magazine 30th anniversary party in Madrid dressed like THIS and we are IMPRESSED, indeed. She looks like a modern woman AND a medieval princess. Light makeup, simple sleek hair, and a beautifully detailed dress. She doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard. The “consciously uncoupled” actress may be tormented for her somewhat unrealistic lifestyle advice, but Gwyneth has never looked better. It makes you forget all about that Mortdecai movie with Johnny Depp that was such a huge flop last year…

EVEN GWYNETH PALTROW CAN’T SAVE THIS DOWDY CHANEL OUTFIT

Gwyneth Paltrow turned up at the Chanel Spring/Summer couture show at Paris Fashion Week in this matronly two piece suit. Karl Lagerfeld MUST have given it to her to wear to the event and she couldn’t say no. We can’t IMAGINE Gwyneth picking this out for herself. The square cut and stiff fabric along with the box pleated long skirt make Gwyneth look around 20 pounds heavier and when she sees these photos we bet she will privately vow NOT to take Lagerfeld’s advice all the time.

This photo of Gwyneth Paltrow was taken as she walked out of a Beverly Hills beauty salon and we HOPE her hairdresser gave her some unsolicited fashion advice: “CULOTTES ARE NOT FLATTERING TO ANYONE.” Gwyneth is considered to be one of the classic beauties of our time, but put her in a pair of low slung culottes and she looks dumpy and shapeless. Imagine how they look on an average person.

GWYNETH PALTROW IS BUTTERING UP PRESIDENT OBAMA

Chris Martin bought that house in Brentwood across the street from his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow just in time. He already hosted her birthday party at his home this week and on Thursday he just has to walk across the street to shake hands with President Obama. Gwyneth is hosting Obama for a Democratic fundraiser at her house on that day, (Guests donate from $1000 to $32,400 to attend.) The traffic on the West side will be horrendous as it always is with a presidential visit, but Chris will have no problem with transportation.
