VICTORIA HAS MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT BECKHAM DOCUMENTARY

If he could do it all over again, David Beckham might have not produced his documentary on Netflix, BECKHAM. Although it’s quickly turned into a huge hit for the streaming giant and added more money to David’s bank account, we heard that it’s taken a toll on his marriage to Victoria Beckham. The documentary explores everything David – including his infidelities – and it open up old wounds for Victoria. My source says that Victoria would have preferred NOT to reopen this can of worms and her resentments towards David, which she thought were long gone, have suddenly resurfaced…

BRUCE WILLIS DOCUMENTARY IS IN THE WORKS

It’s no secret that Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming and his ex-wife Demi Moore have always been close, growing even closer since Bruce was diagnosed with a form of dementia. They’re now taking their friendship to the next level and are teaming up to produce a documentary on Bruce’s life. It will cover everything from his time on Moonlighting (above) to his more recent health struggles. A friend describes the project as a love letter to Bruce and while no deal has been signed yet, it will likely appear on a streaming service once completed.

PAMELA ANDERSON WANTS YOU TO FORGET “PAM AND TOMMY”

Pamela Anderson is in New York looking adorable and she’s there for a good reason. She’s promoting her upcoming role as Roxie Hart in Chicago (the second longest running Broadway show.) Between divorces, Pam like to take a break and actually work. In January, she filed for divorce from her fifth husband, bodyguard Dan Hayhurst. Remember – she divorced Jon Peters after 12 days and moved to France for YEARS while dating a soccer player. And she was married to Kid Rock for four months – she didn’t want to move to Michigan! Pam is also working on a Netflix docu-series about her colorful life – her preparation in New York for Chicago is being filmed for the documentary. She’s hoping this will make people forget about the Hulu series Pam and Tommy than she did NOT like…

COREY FELDMAN’S “TRUTH” ABOUT CHARLIE SHEEN WAS OVERLOOKED

Corey Feldman and his wife of five years, Courtney, dined at celebrity hangout Craig’s this week and we almost forgot how short he is. Former child star Corey claims to be 5’5” and his wife is 5’10”. For years Corey refused to name names when talking about child molesters in Hollywood. He finally released a documentary, My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys that DID, but it was in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and few people saw it. Corey famously accused Charlie Sheen of raping his pal Corey Haim when they filmed the movie Lucas in 1986. Charlie was 19 and Corey was 13. Of course Charlie denied it, and shockingly, nothing came of the revelation. People were more appalled when Charlie revealed he was HIV positive (and had exposed other men and women) a few years earlier. To Corey’s consternation, Charlie seems to get away with everything…

PEE WEE HERMAN TO HBO: THAT’S MY NAME, DON’T WEAR IT OUT!

Just when we thought Fran Lebowitz’s Pretend It’s A City was as good as it gets on HBO, they announced they are planning a documentary on Paul Reubens life story! The man behind the beloved Pee Wee Herman. Who didn’t love Pee Wee’s movies and Pee Wee’s Playhouse on TV from ’86 to ’90? SOME people might not know that Paul Reubens has also had a movie career under his own name. Of course we want to see what Paul was like as a kid growing up and find out how he developed the Pee Wee character. Paul is equally excited about this project, although he says “I love HBO but I’m not going to marry them!”

JOHNNY DEPP SUPPORTS HIS ERRANT FRIENDS

Nice to hear that Johnny Depp is now a producer – he worked with documentary filmmaker Julien Temple on Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan. Fans of punk may recall Shane was led singer of The Pogues, most famous for “Fairytale of New York.” Johnny has always been drawn to overindulgent irresponsible characters like MacGowan, who is notorious for his struggles with heroin addiction and alcoholism. At one time, he was even kicked out of his own band for behaving badly. But his music is wonderful- incredibly touching and sensitive, loaded with Irish melancholy. Johnny appeared at the San Sebastian Film Festival to promote the documentary and said he enjoyed the scarcity of “Hollywood types” at the event.

BOBBY BROWN WAS INNOCENT ALL ALONG OF GETTING WHITNEY HOOKED ON DRUGS

Bobby Brown, 49, his wife (and manager) Alicia Etheredge, and two of their kids took in the farmer’s market this weekend. Bobby must be very happy since the Whitney Houston documentary revealed that he did NOT introduce his ex Whitney to drugs. For years HE was blamed for her addictions. We met Bobby at the AMA’s back in the 80’s and could easily see his appeal to Whitney- he was cute and charming and playful. Years later we bumped into Bobby arm in arm with Whitney at another award show and Whitney yanked a piece of her hair and said “See! It’s not a wig!” (We had written about her wig collection) They both laughed and seemed high, but really in love…

AARON HERNANDEZ: AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY

To be honest, we’ve never been particularly interested in football players – that is – until we saw this photo of NFL star Aaron Hernandez in court a year or so ago. He was found guilty of murdering a guy who dated his girlfriend’s sister and sentenced to life without parole. He was drop-dead handsome with the kind of life one DREAMS about – how could this have happened? And NOW a few days after being acquitted of two more murders, he committed suicide in his isolated cell! It’s devastating, and a TV docuseries is already in the works by the Discovery ID producers. How this super-hunk went from football hero to thug is a fascinating psychological study. We can’t stop looking at his photo…

DANNY SAYS: THIS IS NEW YORK AT ITS COOLEST

We told you about this film before and this is a reminder that DANNY SAYS opens in Los Angeles this Friday, September 30th at the Sundance Sunset Cinemas in West Hollywood and will also be available on Amazon Video, and VOD.
This movie, Danny Says, is so much fun we didn’t want it to end. If you are fascinated by the revolution of pop culture in New York in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, (or if you were THERE) you’re gonna LOVE this film! Danny Fields was a Harvard educated wannabe hipster who landed in the Village in the 60′s and started writing for Datebook – a teen music oriented magazine. He hung out at Max’s Kansas City and CBGB’s and was thrust into the world of The Beatles, Warhol and The Stooges. He developed a crush on Jim Morrison and declared himself press agent to the up-and-coming Doors, thus opening up new career opportunities. Danny is loaded with hilarious anecdotes – many involving drugs – and comments about the celebs he encountered. He landed a job with Electra Records sniffing for new talent and the crazier they were, the more Danny loved them. Interviews with Danny’s acquaintances and musicians (like Iggy Pop and Lou Reed) add to the humor. Eventually Fields discovered and promoted The Ramones, who wrote the song “Danny Says” – hence the title. This film presents an insiders comical view of a great time in history – we can’t say enough good things about it.

IGGY POP AND JIM JARMUSCH HAVE A HISTORY TOGETHER

Here’s a pair of characters you might not expect to see at the Cannes Film Festival. Iggy Pop and filmmaker Jim Jarmusch could easily be chatting about the drugs they used to do back in the 80’s, as they prepare for a discussion about their new documentary Gimme Danger. Directed by Jarmusch, the film documents the rise of Iggy’s punk band The Stooges, starting in the 60’s. We were surprised to see that Iggy has one built up shoe – he says one leg is a couple inches shorter than the other and his reckless stage antics didn’t help it. Iggy says his drug days are over, but threatened to appear at the red carpet gala later with no shirt.
