MARTHA STEWART AND SNOOP DOGG ARE STARTING A BUSINESS TOGETHER

As shocking as this sounds, it actually makes perfect sense if you think about it. Hostess with the mostest Martha Stewart is going into the pot business (and we’re not talking cookware!) with her unlikely best friend, Snoop Dogg. While Martha isn’t known for imbibing, Snoop’s never hid his fondness for marijuana. Martha IS known for her green thumb though, so that’s why Snoop is teaming up with her. They’re calling their organically grown curated collection of pot, MarthaJane (since once common name for it is MaryJane). They’re working on all of the legalities now, but don’t be too surprised if you see Martha’s face on a package in your local dispensary!

JENNIFER GARNER HOPES TO PROFIT FROM HER HOME DECOR SKILLS

There’s a REASON the usually private Jennifer Garner recently opened up her home (which she helped design and had built) to Architectural Digest – she’s getting ready to launch a line of home goods like Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow. Jen’s aesthetic is soft but sophisticated farmhouse, and you can expect her line of products to match her own taste. From cast iron cookware in neutral tones, to Irish linen bedding and handcrafted Portuguese dinner wear, Jen’s putting the finishing touches on the collection which is set to launch in late fall.

ELLEN DEGENERES AND MEGHAN MARKLE?

Ellen DeGeneres is desperate to reinvent herself after getting canceled by Hollywood for being mean, and now she’s turned to none other than her Montecito, California neighbor Meghan Markle for help! Meghan recently launched her lifestyle brand, American Riviera, where she plans on selling locally produced products like her jam. Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi are both devout vegans, have been secretly working on a line of animal free products (like banana bread.) Now Ellen wants Meghan to market them on her website. According to my source, it’s a real Sophie‘s Choice moment for Meghan. She has a lot riding on making this venture a success, and while she considers Ellen a friend, she’s not sure she wants to be in business with her, as she fears it could cause a lot of negative publicity and backlash.

CHRISTINA APPLEGATE MIGHT DO IT AGAIN

It’s been 30 years since Christina Applegate opened her a popular, but short-lived restaurant, RubiRosa, in West Hollywood, and now she’s hoping to re-create the magic. The Married with Children star has put acting on the back burner due to her battle with MS, but she wants to keep herself busy. She’s been telling friends that even though her restaurant only lasted a few years, she had some of the best times of her life there. Christina’s hoping lightning strikes twice and she’s looking at available spaces in the West Hollywood area to open up a hip vegetarian restaurant. She’s altered her diet due to her health issues and has gotten creative with her vegetarian cooking – her kale lasagna (!) is one of her specialties. It is still in the planning stages, so we’ll keep you posted as we hear more updates…

KIM K WANTS TO BUY KANYE OUT OF HER SKIMS BUSINESS

Kim Kardashian wants to buy out her ex-husband Kayne West’s stake in her highly successful line, Skims. Kayne owns 5% of the company, which was recently valued at $4 billion, bringing his shares value to approximately $200 million dollars! Kayne’s ongoing behavioral issues have Kim worried that his outbursts could affect her cash cow of a brand. She’s offered to buy him out, paying him considerably MORE than his shares are worth, but so far he’s not budging. An insider says Kayne seems to ENJOY the connection to Kim, and is in no hurry to sell. This of course could change if Kim makes him an offer he can’t refuse…

TAYLOR SWIFT AND DONNA KELCE ARE PARTNERING UP IN THE COOKIE BUSINESS

Taylor Swift is getting into the cookie business with the woman who just might become her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce. Travis’s mom is on a roll having just been named one of People Magazine’s 25 Most Intriguing People of 2023 – yes Taylor made the list and made the cover! The two intriguing gals are teaming up to launch a cookie company featuring some of Donna’s time tested recipes. The insider says it all started when Donna was teaching Taylor how to bake Travis‘ favorite cookies. Taylor saw a business opportunity and decided they should go into the cookie business similar to Mrs. Field’s. They’re already working on a name and logos and plan to launch the first location at The Plaza, an upscale shopping area in Kansas City. Since Taylor’s fan base is huge they’re also planning to launch a mail order division soon after their first shop opens.

IVANKA TRUMP AND KIM KARDASHIAN ARE TALKING BUSINESS

Ivanka Trump wants back in the fashion game and she’s counting on her good friend, Kim Kardashian to help her out. Ivanka designed a successful line of clothing, shoes and accessories, but once her divisive father Donald became President, retailers everywhere dropped her lines like hot potatoes. Let’s face it, everything associated with the name Trump became toxic, and Ivanka’s business was a casualty. Now that’s she’s distanced herself from her father and his revengeful campaign, Ivanka is itching to get back to work. Since Kim’s various fashion ventures have made her a fortune, Ivanka feels she’s the perfect person to collaborate with. My source says that Kim adores Ivanka and is more than willing to help her.

BROOKLYN BECKHAM IS EYEING THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS

Brooklyn Beckham may have finally figured out what to do with his life. He and his wife, Nicole Peltz, are going into the restaurant business. The jet setting couple haves homes in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Miami, so now they want to open restaurants in each city. Brooklyn has spent the last few years honing his chef skills on his poorly-received online cooking show, Cookin With Brooklyn. Back then he barely knew how to boil water and online comments were abundant and cruel, but people watched.  Nevertheless, he’s become more confident with his cooking skills. For THEIR restaurants, Brooklyn and Nicole envision clubby style places that would appeal to their generation.

OPRAH: BACK IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS?

Oprah Winfrey wants to get back in the restaurant business. In the late 1980’s Oprah opened The Eccentric in Chicago with partners, but her TV career kept her SO busy that she  barely had time to enjoy the venture. Fast forward to now,  and Oprah is semi-retired, so she wants to open up a Members Only restaurant in Montecito, where she and her neighbors like Meghan Markle and Kevin Costner can cut loose away from the prying eyes of the public…

MATTHEW PERRY HAS AN ODD NEW JOB

While we are all for capitalism, we can’t help but wonder what’s up with Matthew Perry’s finances. The Friends star famously pocketed $1 million per episode during the show’s peak and he continues to make money with residuals (much like I Love Lucy, reruns of Friends seem to be airing 24/7 somewhere in the world.) And that’s WHY we are perplexed that’s he’s on the Cameo Business site: He will make a personal video endorsing your business or product for a $50,000 fee. While $50K isn’t chump change, it seems out of character that Matthew would sell a commercial endorsement for such a small amount UNLESS he was desperate for dineros. For perspective, his Friends costar Jennifer Aniston made millions and millions from her various endorsements for such products as Smart Water and Aveeno.
