DON’T ASK EDDIE REDMAYNE TO MODEL

We all know that designers give celebrities expensive dresses and suits to flaunt on red carpets and at big PR events in hopes that it will stimulate interest in their fashions and increase sales. Celebrities often mention their designers names whether the press ask about it or not. Designers might think twice before dressing actor Eddie Redmayne because his red carpet “flaunting” expertise is minimal at best. He’s wearing a perfectly nice but unremarkable blue suit at the Motion Picture Museum gala, but he looks excruciatingly uncomfortable posing in it. Can’t figure out what to do with his hands OR his feet. (Or his FACE!) Posing provocatively is NOT his thing…

HAILEE STEINFELD: HER AWKWARD YEARS NEVER HAPPENED

Hailee Steinfeld started young and was barely 13 when her first big film True Grit was released in 2010 and it ignited her career with a bang- she got lots of awards and nominations. After that she grew up right before our eyes – that can be awkward, but it wasn’t for her. We thought that bodybuilder Jake Seinfeld was her father and feared that she would grow up to look like him! (She didn’t- Jake turned out to be her uncle.) Most child stars grow up to be short, but Hailee is 5’8” and modeled for big designers – plus she has a successful singing career (and she dated Niall Horan) She’s currently starring on the Emily Dickinson AppleTV series. Now 24, she looks adorable doing business in New York!

DEMI LOVATO: ONE FOR THE ROAD

Demi Lovato continues living on cloud nine with her affectionate fiancé Max Ehrich. They’ve been caught smooching in a wide array of locations, but this time they really made us laugh. They left dinner at Nobu holding hands and hopped into their car and started passionately making out just inches away from their driver, who tried his BEST to maintain his composure…

KIRK DOUGLAS ON THE GOLDEN GLOBES: MOST DEPRESSING LIVE MOMENT IN TV HISTORY?

Who’s bright idea was it to invite a 101 year old stroke victim in a wheelchair to appear on The Golden Globes? Granted, Kirk Douglas was a big boxoffice star in the 50’s and 60’s and he did deserve recognition for that, however he would have been better served if his daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones had appeared alone and presented clips of Kirk in his famous roles. Not only did poor Kirk look awful, but he cannot speak clearly. It was an unnecessarily sad and disturbing segment of the show. Also, one cannot ignore the fact that Kirk had an unfortunate history with women – in the past he was kindly described as a “womanizer” and has been accused of raping a teenage Natalie Wood.
