By now, just about everyone has seen Susan Boyle sing. (Above she holds her parents’ wedding photo.) This plain, modest woman from Scotland appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and blew away the judges, including Simon Cowell, with her heartbreakingly beautiful voice. Backstage she had admitted she was single and had “never been kissed.” It was really touching and we suggest that for her next appearance, the show hire Clive Owen to come out and plant a big kiss on her!
She looks exactly like Sharon Osbourn without makeup and before the weight loss.
I heard her video of her singing and saw Simon’s face as she blew his mind! Her rendition is better than the stage version! With some eyebrown plucking, some minor tweaking, she could look quite normal and reasonable, and I’m sure have a boyfriend in no time, in fact, she looks much like the mother in the wedding picture, which is not bad! She apparently just never thought about doing anything with her looks or trying, she is a sweetie and lovely voice, she could certainly have her looks done over and be much happier with herself I’m sure, as someone would WANT to kiss her.
Yay, Susan Boyle! She is charming and talented, and I hope the future holds fabulous things for her, including many, many kisses!
Ella Fitzgerald was no beauty queen, and she also sang like an angel. People need to see that physical looks do not make the person, and Susan Boyle serves this purpose.
Goes to prove, can’t judge a book by it’s cover, inside it what really matters, her true talent shines through. Wishing her much success!
Rita,
The show is heavily edited. We don’t know when Simon made that face and while it could have been while she was singing, it might have been a face from an entirely different situation.
What I mostly want to know is what type of range this woman has. We have only heard ONE song of her. Is that the only song she can sing? Let’s hear more from her first.
UGH Let her find her own nine man.. All creepy Stars have parasites and std’s.
youtube “cry me a river susan boyle” you will be blown away again. Apparently she recorded this song for a charity cd 10 years ago.
YOU JUST NOTICED THAT THINGS ARE STRANGE LOL
Tell Clive to stay home. Your first kiss should be one that just might happen again. She doesn’t need a publicity kiss. I think she’d like it to be a real kiss, which I believe will happen now that the world has taken the extra 30 seconds to look inside and see the angel within.
Now that’s what I’m talking about. Pure unadulturated talent. Unfortunately for Susan, the entertainment industry is full of transparent sycophants and her looks will not give way to her beautiful talent. Unless, she does records and background work for animated films like Cinderella. She sounds like Cinderella. I saw her in another blog first. My first impression was, ‘here comes another William Hung.’ You absolutely did too people, admit it. I was ready to LMAO. And then, I got taught a lesson in humility. I wish her the best. May you not be corrupted by hollywierd. Forget them. Try Broadway if you must cross the pond.
I am so tired of the media and entertainment industry trotting out some schlub in order to assure the public that, as pathetic as we all are (not having airbrushing, and stylists and agents and million-dollar contracts) there is still a slight chance we could become famous. A few years ago Paul Potts was the big story. Does anyone in North America know who this guy is? – The British only know of him because of their obsession with reality TV. Jade Goody is probably more famous than Potts, and she was completely talentless and unappealing.
“North America”? Hell, I live all the way out in California and even *I* have heard of Paul Potts– and it had nothing to do with “reality TV”! I find it surprising you wouldn’t think the man had gotten positive press over here… he’s brilliantly talented and fortunately young enough to have a long and successful career ahead of him.
Yes, I’m in North America and yes, I’m aware of Paul Potts….and he’s cut a couple of CDs since his reality show days. I hope Susan gets a makeover and goes on to be a huge success!
Sorry, I should have said “does anyone in North America who is not house-bound…?”
I watched her sing and I cried, period. The woman is gifted (she also has a very cute personality)…
Celine Dion in the making.
It’s so nice to see her get the recognition she clearly deserves! And you know what? You don’t have to be a model to have wonderful talent. Perhaps if we had more talented people, we’d have less Britneys, less Lindsays, less Paris’, less Angelina’s…
Sadly, out culture praises talentless people that trot around like whores – when there are scores of untapped talent out there.
This gal rocks!
She looks terrible, and her voice is not all that outstanding. I noticed her off-key twice. She is just causing a frenzy because it’s so unusual to look frumpy and have an only little above average voice.
I get chills when I hear her voice. And I’m so glad that she’s being received so warmly even though she’s not a cookie cutter blonde bombshell with a spray on tan. She’s a real person with real looks, and yes, we should not judge a book by it’s cover. I hope she gets a recording contract and blows these hip hop whippersnappers out of the water!!!!
Anonymous, it is “fewer Britney’s, fewer Lindsay’s…”. A while back I griped about the fact that American’s seem to have no knowledge of geography. Add grammar to the list. Geeeez!
I’m very sorry but I’m not availible for the next few years, folks!!
Yeah, Janet! That’s what we should do…hire a prostitute to come out and kiss her. That should make her feel great about herself. Not only is she worthy of a kiss from a man, but a hired one at that! Janet, I think it’s time you knew the truth…I pay your cats (all 20 of them) to pretend they can tolerate you.
Actually, the apostrophes signify possesion, such as…Lindsay’s life is a mess, or Britany’s excesses are legion.
The same names without apostrophes, signify multiples, such as “There are way too many Lindsays and Britanys out there.

is a major beyotch! do not sell to her, she’ll find some way to screw you, such an asian ho of course, you know you can never please them
How condescending. NO she doesn’t need any show to HIRE someone to kiss her. It’ll happen naturally when SHE chooses to. Wow Hollywood really rots people’s brains and hearts.
SUSAN BOYLE BY HER OWN ADMISSION: “I’ll need to sort out my dress sense and my weight,” said the Scottish singer after watching her audition. “It wasn’t till I saw myself on TV that I realised how frumpy I was. I want to look nice and smart.”
Frumpy?? She looks like HELL and it’ll take nothing short of an army of stylists, hairdressers and makeup artists to make her even halfway presentable!
While she is hard to look at at first, her voice is on another level. Awesomeness! 🙂
She does favor her mother a lot.
