We rarely gossip about professional athletes or coaches, but this item also has political importance and is TOO good not to share. Steve Kerr, the coach of basketball’s Golden State Warriors as well as the Olympic’s Team USA, was a surprise -and excellent- speaker at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on August 19. According to my inside source there was a reason – he’s being wooed to run for Governor of California when current governor, Gavin Newsom is termed out. Remember where you read this, as an exploratory committee is already in place, grooming Steve to run for governor, which is EXACTLY why he was tapped to speak at the convention.
