Murdock was going to get sued if he ran anything about OJ Simpson and he knew it. Who wants to hear OJ wax on about if he did it or not? The Goldmans/Browns will never see a dime in this lifetime anyway. Lawyers cost money.

Sorry – I WISH he could be tried again for murder. The law distinctly prohibits it.
Some of those other points are questionable at best.
I wish!!! I really do! He is a total waste of air.
It’s funny he has taken time out to write a book and tape a show. Guess spending the rest of his life looking for the “real” killers doesn’t pay.

If my information was wrong, perhaps you should speak to Daniel Richman, Professor of Law at Fordham University. He is the one who provided the information for the article that was on Slate et al.

    He eats dog poo

His children will NEVER see the proceeds from this travesty. A third party was arranged so the civil suit judgment will never get it.
Scumbag is an understatement for this pig.

Janet, are you off your rocker calling this pig a hero?
    ****************************
ITA, this pig was forced to terminate this crap…and O.J. Simpson still got paid 3.5 million dollars that went to a 3rd party (i.e. Caymen Island) to pay his children directly.
So, at least the money is going to the children.

He is a scumball. He’s NO hero Janet.

Now we find out that Murdoch tried to pay off the Goldmans and Browns to keep the peace so that the book could come out as planned. He’s scum.

Does it matter if Murdoch is a hero or not? The fact of the matter is that this piece of garbage is in the trash just where it belongs.

  11. Anonymous

I don’t think Murdoch is any hero. After all, he was going to go ahead with things until the public lashed out. He was supportive prior of the project.

Whatever Murdoch’s reasons were (and I’m certain human decency was NOT one of them), I’m very glad to see that he’s shitcanned this horrible show.
OJ needs to go crawl in a hole somewhere.

Sorry – he cannot be tried again – Federal Court or otherwise. I’m afraid you’re info is wrong. I’m a paralegal.
The only way he could be tried in a criminal court is if they only charged him with one of the deaths.
Perjury only counts in court. He didn’t testify.
Too bad – I’d love to see his ass fry.

No big deal as B.E.T. will create a reality show called “Let’s Kill Another White Bitch” where OJ will host.

  15. Anonymous

Yes, he could be tried again, but it would have to be in federal court and not in a state court.
He could be charged with civil rights violations. (Ironic, isn’t it?)The principle of “dual sovereignty” overrides Simpson’s double-jeopardy protections.
The state could also go after him for perjury if they they think that he lied to police.

I’m grateful that the show and book were nixed. It was in very poor taste; a low point in the cesspool that is entertainment TV these days. PLEASE leave OJ to rot in obscurity, where he belongs!

First of all – who cares WHY Murdoch “caved”. This would have been the most disgusting thing ever.
Secondly, he can NEVER be tried again due to double jeopardy.
My faith in human decency has been restored.
Imagine how his own children felt about this, not to mention the families and friends involved.
I hope Simpson fades back into obscurity – he is a stain on mankind.

Rupert Murdoch is not a HERO simply because he caved to prevailing standards of decency. He is and always will be a sleaze merchant.

Janet, if you’ve read Regan’s reasoning behind her interview with Simpson, then you “could learn a thing or two.” Anyone who’s ever been in a DV situation understands.
A question for any legal experts: If there are no statutes of limitation on murder and Simpson were to provide details of the murders, couldn’t a new case be brought against him?
