PAUL REUBENS WAS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PEOPLE
I didn’t know that Paul Reubens was ill and when he suddenly died in 2023, I was devastated. And still am. Our relationship was a bit odd- we had mutual friends and many of the same interests -in mid-century modern items and architecture, vintage clothing, etc. We ran into each other at events and he was always friendly but careful. I sensed he was nervous because I wrote for a tabloid. (Star Magazine) I loved writing about him and his career and avoided anything negative because I liked him so much. Ultimately he suffered through some personal scandals and it turns out THAT’S why he agreed to cooperate and work on the biographical documentary called Pee Wee as Himself. He wanted the world to know he was NOT a pedophile. He did 40 hours of interviews for the biopic and died the day after his final contribution. Watch for it on MAX this year.

His televisiion show “PeeWee’s playhouse” was creative, fun and genius.
Is the “mid century modern” still a thing? Remember the early 90’s when everything was sea foam green, pastels and teal? I hope that fashion never returns lol.

It’s pretty clear from the LAPD case file evidence that an overly aggressive DA decided to go after Reubens for his collection of vintage films in the PRIVACY of his home that DID NOT INVOLVE MINORS because it would score the DA points from the public. I am convinced the stress and unimaginable shame that Reubens suffered led to his early death. I will definitely check out this documentary, Janet.

Get your head out of your ass, Janet. The guy was most definitely a pedophile. He ruined the life of one kid I know. Why people defend him is sick and sickening.
