Jennifer Lopez looks adorable on the set of her new movie “The Back-up Plan.” She plays a woman who tires of searching for Mr Right and conceives twins through artificial insemination, but happens to meet the man of her dreams that same day. Her costar is NOT Gerard Butler, but a guy named Alex O’Loughlin. We can’t help zeroing in on her hair. Since we learned that Jennifer wears wigs most of the time (and in fact has a whole room full of them) we immediately try to figure out whether this hair is real or fake. We’re thinking fake.

MISCHA BARTON DRANK CISCO ADLER UNDER THE TABLE

f4l5s48knmischaMischa Barton was taken to the hospital because she had complications from wisdom tooth surgery. But this isn’t her first mysterious and sudden hospital visit (Remember she passed out at a BBQ two years ago) so everyone is assuming her predilection for indulging in controlled substances is responsible. Last we heard she was on involuntary psychiatric hold, which isn’t so surprising when you consider her rocker boyfriend Cisco Adler broke up with her because HE thought she partied too much.

Pamela Anderson is winking and posing here with a new issue of Playboy from Serbia featuring a 20 year old photo of her on the cover. Not to worry – Pam is enjoying a VIP vacation in the beautiful Eastern European country, Montenegro, where she is promoting the opening of a spa. We’re betting Baywatch is still playing there.

80’S BAND A-HA STILL HAS THE LAST LAUGH

A-Ha was one of those adorable boy bands in the 80’s – the guys had plenty of styled up hair and their songs like “Take On Me” were smooth and girl oriented. They seemed a little too sweet not to be gay, but apparently they weren’t. The Norwegian band is together and currently touring – lead singer Morten Harket was photographed in London and he still looks hot.

NO HAPPY ENDING FOR “REMEMBER ME”

We’ve seen a lot of photos of Rob Pattinson on the “Remember Me” set and some of Emilie de Ravin, but very few of their characters together. They play a couple having some kind of serious problems and this scene was shot on a stoop in Brooklyn Heights. It might be a really sad movie because it’s been compared to “Love Story,” the 1970 heartbreaking romance with Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal.

LOURDES BRINGS HER STYLE TO THE FASHION CAPITAL OF ITALY

She’s on tour with her mother Madonna in Milan, and Lourdes Cicccone Leon,12, is looking very stylish leaving the hotel in her punked out plaid pants and skeleton scarf. The Obama handbag is the perfect accessory. The whole family (including Jesus Luz) is hopping from one European city to another with matriarch Madonna as she performs in concert. Nice way to spend the summer.

JOSH HARTNETT ISN’T JUST ANOTHER EGOTISTICAL GUY

Josh Hartnett is not like most guys. For one thing, he’s walking down the street in New York and he ISN’T talking on his cell phone. He’s enjoying his surroundings. Another thing that makes him different was his lawsuit against UK’s Daily Mirror. The paper wrote that he had a “steamy sexual encounter” with an unknown woman in a public area of a London hotel and it was taped. Most macho guys would have been secretly proud of such an accomplishment and wouldn’t have bothered to deny it. But Josh got mad and sued – winning a $30,000 settlement

MADONNA CAN RAISE CHICKENS IF SHE WANTS TO

So WHAT if Madonna doesn’t have perfect arms? She’s got a huge backyard in the middle of New York City, and that makes up for a LOT! We confess we’re really envious of her new townhouse, which happens to be a record 57 feet wide – where the average NY townhouse is only 18 feet wide. Madonna paid 32.5 million for the 26 room, 4 story, 12000 sq ft home with guest quarters. Most amazing is the 3000 sq feet of OUTSIDE garden area – perfect for kids and dogs. Madonna said she’s thinking of having chickens too, and neighbors are already horrified at the prospect of roosters waking them up.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON MAKES SOMETHING OUT OF NOT MUCH

Scarlett Johansson’s sexy ad for the Mango stores is misleading at best. We visited a Mango shop for the first time and noted that the merchandise is not unlike that of Zara. It’s affordable, sensible business wear for secretaries and assistants. Plus some jeans and tank tops for the weekend. Basic stuff. Nothing sexy or extravagant and certainly nothing to get excited about. We’re guessing Scarlett would never shop there unless she was paid to do so.

TERI HATCHER AND EMERSON ARE BEST FRIENDS

As nutty as “Desperate Housewife” Teri Hatcher seems to be at times, she always appears to be a doting mother. She and her 11 year old daughter Emerson arrived at LAX after a shopping spree in New York, looking very afffectionate. Emerson is growing up to be quite a beauty.
