Who can forget the trial of the century when O.J. Simpson was charged with murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown? The trial was must-see TV in the mid-nineties with people glued to their TV to catch every bit of it. Well, while it doesn’t involve a murder, get ready for the celebrity trial of THIS century: Sean Diddy Combs’ sex trafficking trial and you can watch it at home. According to my well placed source, the trial will be aired on TV and you can expect a ton of embarrassed celebrities to be subpoenaed to testify. Although the plans to air the trial have not yet been announced, it’s all but a done deal, and is expected to match or beat viewership for O.J.’s trial.

I have to correct your mostly excellent post Janet.
The question of murder will certainly be pondered by Federal Prosecutors. The murder of Tupac Shakur which has been linked to Mr Combs and his associates.
I love this story but I don’t think we will see a parade of stars. Certainly no one at the A or even B level. Maybe some poor D level suckers who can’t afford the top tier lawyers.
As witness to alleged crimes, the famous will be put on the stand whether they like it or not. If those swelled head “A or B listers” think their status will protect them, they are very wrong. The public requires red meat and government will give it to them. “Bread and Circuses” to keep the mobs passive, and the government can’t bring down the price of bread, so they will serve up the Trial of the Century instead.
