The National Enquirer should be ashamed. TLC has stolen their sensational tabloid investigation ideas and they are building a hugely successful (if somewhat tasteless) network on it. The Enquirer should have had a tabloid network of their own YEARS ago. We thought Honey Boo Boo and the siamese twins Abby and Brittany were startling, but this new special “Half-Ton Killer,” telling the story of a grotesquely obese woman charged with squashing a little girl is beyond belief.     The child that was killed was not Mayra Rosales (the woman pictured above)child. It was Mayra’s two year old nephew.

    Mayra (the lady pictured above) did not kill or hurt anyone. Her sister did it and was convicted of it.

    Mayra’s sister killed the child. The obese lady above did not nor could not do it. She was not physcially able to turn over. Plus, she was deathly ill with pneumonia at the time.

    Mayra Rosales (the obese woman above) decided to come clean a few months later, after her sister continued to abuse her other children, according to Valdez.

    Jaime Rosales, Mayra’s sister, ultimately pleaded guilty to causing injury to a child and is now serving a 15-year sentence.

    @Palermo – Have to agree, TLC has really gone deep south.

    I don’t find this at all amusing making light of someone’s weight which caused such a horrific tragedy. Like I said in the previous post about Bobbi-Kristina, it’s time to pull the plug on cable, let the demons who produce this crap, watch & choke on it.

    TLC used to be quality television. It has descended into the pits of hell. They should take it off the air. Haven’t watched the video, but I worked with a woman who weighed over 700 lbs. She was at a drive through drug store when she had a heart attack (in her 20s) and fell against her three year old daughter. Paramedics had a terrible time trying to get the girl out of the car.
