Good news for fans of Sting, The Police, or The Bangles – but only if you live in the Los Angeles area. There is a fabulous estate sale this weekend at a big opulent house built in 1923 that once belonged to Raymond Burr and most recently to Miles Copeland III. Miles is the brother of Stewart Copeland from The police and he’s a bigtime music manager who handled these bands among others. Copeland has moved out of the 8700 sq ft mansion, but he left behind mountains of CD’s, gold and platinum records, concert t-shirts, posters, and rock souvenirs of all kinds. These photos of his bedroom and bathroom reveal he lived like a medieval king. Seeing the house is an experience in itself. Click here for details.

THE POLICE; SECRET SHOW

The much anticipated performance by The Police at the Grammys has a lot of fans very excited, but we have some even BIGGER news for them. The Police are also making a secret appearance at the Whiskey on Sunset this Monday night! Insiders are scrambling to find a way in. Officially, curious callers are being told that The Police are simply holding a press conference to announce their new album together. (They don’t want word spreading like wildfire.) But one person involved admitted they ARE expected to “sing a few songs.” We think once they get started they’ll put on a great show, so die-hard fans should start scheming to find a way to be there. Incidentally, Sting has already written all the songs for their entire new album so they’ll be working on that right away.
