Redmond O’Neal’s drug sponsor is Ashley Hamilton. Yes, the same guy who was married to Shannen Doherty and had numerous drug misadventures of his own in the past. Ashley has cleaned up his act and become a stand up comic. People who’ve seen him at The Laugh Factory say he’s really funny. Ashley Hamilton’s mother is Alana Stewart, who is Farrah Fawcett’s best friend. (Farrah, of course, is Redmond’s mom.) So THAT’s the connection. Ashley is apparently a better comic than he is drug sponsor, considering Redmond’s record.
