File this under “things that make you go hmmm…” According to our very well-placed source, Elon Musk’s gushing over Donald Trump has EVERYTHING to do with his company Tesla, and NOTHING to do with genuine feelings. Our source insists that Elon thinks Trump is pretty much a moron, but realized it would be best to keep his friends close and his enemies closer. Donald was in the habit of ranting and raving about the evils of electric cars, but as soon as Elon endorsed him, all of that talk suddenly stopped. Our source explains that Elon is outsmarting Trump by appealing to his ego to get him to stop badmouthing electric cars.
