REAL WORLD STARS DID SOMETHING WORTHWHILE!

IMG_0399norm

Two of the most memorable MTV Real World alumni, inventor/artist Norman Korpi (Real World New York) and Puck (David Rainey the bike messenger– Real World San Francisco ) turned up on Capitol Hill to support their buddy, Wisconsin congressman Sean Duffy (Real World Boston.) Imagine that – a Real World star is now in politics! Duffy launched the Ovarian Cancer Caucus in honor of their MTV costar Diem Brown who died from the disease last year. Duffy gathered his MTV friends to help promote the cause. Naturally the talkative Puck had a lot to say- he mentioned that he now makes a living selling his sperm to lesbians in Los Angeles, and claims to have 7 children so far! Oh, and he was so impressed with Washington DC that he wants to run for office!

REAL WORLD’S PUCK SAYS HE’S HOMELESS

Real World fans might be interested to know what the unpopular bike messenger Puck (David Rainey) is up to these days. Just this week he was seen looking nearly unrecognizable (thrashed and unshaven) in the parking lot of the West Hollywood post office. He was talking a mile a minute to anyone who’d listen. While eating supermarket sushi, he blurted between bites “My wife threw me out! Can you BELIEVE it?” Next to him was an oversize gym bag and a box of records. He pointed over his shoulder and said “I’m living in my car! I have nowhere to stay!” (Keep in mind, Puck has had problems with domestic violence in the past.) He was last heard asking a guy if he could go home with him – without success….

FINAL DRAMATIC FAREWELL TO MALCOLM MCLAREN, THE ARCHITECT OF PUNK

Subversive punk icon Malcolm McLaren was laid to rest in the flamboyant style he’d grown accustomed to. “Too Fast To Live, Too Young To Die,” the slogan from his “Sex” shop, was written on his casket. The funeral procession was led by a horse drawn carriage, and paraded through the home of the punk movement, Camden, in north-west London. Thousands of people lined the streets. Mourners included the remaining Sex Pistols, tarted up Adam Ant, and McLaren’s muse Vivienne Westwood. Westwood wants McLaren to be remembered as an inspiration to the new generation – she advised them to “Get a life – and do something with it!”

WATCH OUT MTV- PUCK IS ON THE WARPATH!

Puck – the MTV Real World graduate – class of ’95 – had a jolt the other day. Puck, whose real name is David Rainey, made quite a name for himself as the eccentric bike messenger in San Francisco. He’s best remembered for being unpleasant to housemate Pedro Zamora, who was dying of AIDS, and eventually Puck got kicked out of the house for rude behavior. Puck was minding his own business in the Valley recently when a young man ran up to him and said “Hi Puck! You’re so cool! I just auditioned to play YOU in a movie!” Puck was startled and the kid went on to explain that MTV is making a movie of Pedro Zamora’s life and Puck was featured in it. ( And they didn’t bother to tell him!) Puck became enraged at the prospect of MTV making more money off him and he’s been bitterly complaining to anyone who’ll listen.

WHAT'S NEXT? CELEBS IN REHAB, OF COURSE

ChynacutPicture.jpgCelebs in Rehab – what could be more fun than that? The show has already booked eight celebrities with substance problems who don’t mind admitting it. Most of them have already displayed their bizarre behavior on other reality series. Committed so far are Chyna Doll (wrestler Joanie Laurer,) Andy Dick, Jeff Conaway, and Puck from The Real World. The show is set in a real rehab in Pasadena and cameras willl follow celebs as they kick whatever they’re on. We can hardly wait.
