We’re not fans of PETA, but we are crazy about animals, and love anyone who discourages the use of fur for fashion. Frankly, we’re surprised that such an admired fashion house would stoop to using real fur. Maybe Prada will reconsider…

Victoria Beckham was SO relieved when her back healed up enough to allow her to wear high heels during Fashion Week in New York.THAT was a close call! She has a lot of appearances lined up in the city during the next few days, but she couldn’t resist taking time out to introduce her little girl Harper to the Prada store on 5th Avenue. Harper doesn’t seem to like the photographers as much as mommy does.
Prada designed size 4 bouffant dress, hand painted and festooned with chandelier glass, and Frank Gehry designed headdress that Lady Gaga wore when she performed at the MOCA 30th Anniversary Gala are being auctioned off to raise money for the museum. Included with the dress are Gaga’s matching size 6 and ½ platform shoes with chandelier glass dripping from the heels. (Tiny feet!) Yes, the headpiece reminds us of Disney Hall. We saw these treasures up close and they ARE exceptional.The costume is valued at $30,000, but someone might get a good deal. The Gehry hat is also valued at $30,000, and it’s all for a worthwhile cause – we love our museum.
