HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

The biggest news of the week was Kamala Harris choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential running mate. We couldn’t wait to share this interesting tidbit. As part of her selection process Kamala challenged each of her potential running mates to a game of Scrabble (she’s a pro at it and very competitive ) and she was most impressed with Tim’s vocabulary (he is a former teacher, after all). While that wasn’t the sole factor in decision making, my Washington D.C. source says it certainly didn’t hurt Tim’s chances of landing the coveted spot.

Blake Shelton made news with his upcoming Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace and here’s what we know. Blake’s better half, Gwen Stefani is not only planning to stay with him in Vegas when he performs, she’s going to be making unannounced appearances with him on stage. Gwen is no stranger to Las Vegas residencys -she completed one herself at Planet Hollywood. Her unpaid and unannounced appearances with Blake are a way to not only support him, but according to my source, keep an EYE on him as well. There’s no trouble in paradise and Gwen intends to keep it that way, as she’s seen what happens in Vegas with those sexy showgirls.

Megan Fox recently made headlines when she appeared pregnant in her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly’s music video for his song, Lonely Road. According to my source, this could soon be a case of art imitating life. I hear that Megan has been confiding to pals that she and MGK are actively trying to have a baby. For what it’s worth Megan has stopped drinking and was recently seen looking at high-end cribs at a furniture store in Los Angeles. Stay tuned – as we expect a pregnancy announcement soon.

Ben Affleck made news when it was revealed he purchased a house all by himself close to the neighborhood he lived in with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. While Garner has moved on and is actually hoping Ben works things out with his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez, we just heard that she has AGREED to help Ben furnish the entire house. According to my source, Ben needs everything from towels to mattresses, TVs to artwork, and he is completely overwhelmed by the idea of furnishing a house. He can’t ask J.Lo to do it, so he reached out to Garner and she reluctantly agreed to help decorate the pad. Don’t read more into this though, as my source insists she wouldn’t take him back if he was the last man on earth, but HE IS the father of her children so she felt obliged to help.

And finally it wouldn’t be a week without another crazy Donald Trump story. 78-year old Donald really went off his rocker this past week when he questioned whether Kamala Harris was actually black, (we know he’s a loony tune but this was even weird for him). We just heard that his daughter Ivanka, who’s desperately trying to distance herself from her father, reached out and scolded him for the misstep. According to my inside source, Ivanka BEGGED her father to keep race out of this election. As my source put it, Ivanka knows she can’t control her dad, but she’s just trying to limit his craziness to protect her own image.

Cast Friends Las Vegas Matthew Perry Reunion

FRIENDS PROFITABLE CAST REUNION CALLED OFF

Our observant source – the same one who gave us the scoop about the Friends cast releasing a statement TOGETHER addressing Matthew Perry’s death – now shares this tidbit: The Friends cast was in top secret negotiations to reunite and film a TV commercial that was slated to air during next year’s Super Bowl. The game is being played in Las Vegas, so Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and of course, the late Matthew, were being courted to film a 60 second commercial promoting Vegas tourism with the tagline, “Have a Friendscation.” While it wasn’t a done deal, they were set to make a few MILLION each for one day’s work, but now with Matthew’s unexpected passing, the project is a no go.

Her residency at Caesar’s Palace is a monumental hit, but spending weekends in Las Vegas is NOT doing Adele’s diet any favors. The talented songbird dropped a ton of weight since she first made a splash in 2011 with Rolling In The Deep, losing nearly 100 pounds from her heaviest. She still looks great, but is complaining to pals she’s having a hard time resisting the fine dining, 24 hour room service, and endless buffets that living even part-time in Las Vegas offers. She’s back to wearing mostly black flowing gowns on stage until she loses the extra pounds.

Is a rent increase the REAL reason that former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Lisa Vanderpump closing her successful West Hollywood restaurant Pump? Lisa has owned the popular place located in the center of boys town (where the gay bars and restaurants are located) for a decade, and recently revealed she‘s closing the doors because of a rent increase. A Bravo insider says that might not be the ONLY reason. Lisa, who already owns restaurants in Las Vegas and is opening more, is in talks to be the lead of The Real Housewives of Las Vegas, which is quietly being developed. Lisa and her husband are also looking at estates in the posh Lake Las Vegas area. My Bravo insider says the plan is to cast Vegas movers and shakers, and have familiar face Lisa also star.

WHO WILL FOLLOW RIHANNA AT NEXT SUPER BOWL?

Rihanna had barely left the stage after her Super Bowl performance when the search began for the stars of next year’s halftime show. It’s going to be a BIG one. The 2024 game will be held in Las Vegas for the first time ever, and according to an insider. Producers plan to make the halftime show all about Sin City. They’re looking to hire numerous musical performers- especially those who’ve had popular residencies at the casinos. Unlike Rihanna’s show, (which she did solo) expect a stage packed with surprise entertainers next year. Topping the diverse list of potential performers are Elton John, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Adele, Britney Spears and maybe even “Mr. Las Vegas” himself Wayne Newton. It’s going to be the most star-studded halftime show ever!

Almost a year ago she postponed this Las Vegas residency at the LAST minute, with lame excuses about set decor etc. In actuality, it was the absence of her American boyfriend Rich Paul that most likely caused her to cancel. She admits to being obsessed with Rich – says she has “never been in love like this.” Rich IS with Adele for this opening weekend, but will he be there for the rest of the run? Adele has already spent half a million dollars on air purification machines for her dressing room and the stage to pamper her voice. But will the boyfriend, who has a job of his own, be THERE for her as much as she needs him?

ADELE’S HAPPINESS DEPENDS ON HER BOYFRIEND

Adele’s love life is a never-ending source of fascination. We didn’t realize that in January when she posted that last-minute tearful video apologizing to fans because she had to cancel her Las Vegas residency (“my show ain’t ready,”) she had a LOT going on in her life. Number one problem was her boyfriend, sports manager Rich Paul– he wasn’t around when she needed him. AND she was in the middle of buying Sylvester Stallone’s 21,000 sq ft mega-mansion (12 bathrooms!) in Beverly Hills for 58 million dollars at that same time. It turns out, maybe cancelling was the RIGHT thing to do, because it all ended well. She has rescheduled the Las Vegas performances for 48 million dollars, and Rich has moved into the huge house WITH her. She got what she wanted.
