Julia Louis-Dreyfus

JULIA LOUIS- DREYFUS HAS POLITICAL ASPIRATIONS

She’s played a vice president, and then a president on Veep, and now Julia Louis-Dreyfus is hoping that life imitates art. Julia is a staunch Democrat, donating money and time to the cause, and now she’s hoping to get in on the action and run for Senator. The Seinfeld star’s acting career has been slowing down and she loves the idea of a new chapter of her life beginning in Washington DC, where she spent much of her childhood. Julia has to figure out where to run FROM – even though she has residences in New York and California, she’s planning to relocate to a state like Florida, which currently has two Republican senators, so she can run against them as opposed to running in a state that’s a Democratic stronghold.

JULIA LOUIS- DREYFUS: MY TWO SONS

Julia Louis-Dreyfus seems to have such a close and non-problematic family considering her success. Julia met her husband, actor/writer Brad Hall, when they were both studying at Northwestern, and they were both hired at Saturday Night Live at the same time. They married in 1987 and had two sons – meanwhile Julia started piling up Emmys for Seinfeld and Veep. Both Charlie, 22, on the left, and Henry, 27, right, graduated from college. Her sweet sons surprised Julia with a video they made to Michael Jackson’s Beat It! when she finished her last day of chemo for breast cancer. Henry is pursuing a career in music, and since he had a cameo on VEEP, Charlie is interested in acting.

JULIA LOUIE DREYFUSS: HER FATHER HAPPENS TO BE A BILLIONAIRE!

This week our esteemed colleague, Montecito Journal gossip columnist Richard Mineards, reminded us of just how wealthy Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, 53, really IS. Julia, who lives in Montecito with her husband Brad Hall and two sons, made a HUGE name for herself starring as the lovable crackpot Elaine on Seinfeld for nine seasons. (Her vintage frocks and 40’s jackets were a big fashion influence in those years.) At that point she could have retired. but she went on to score another hit with HBO’s VEEP. Financially, she is a very successful actress, and it runs in her family. Julia’s businessman father William Louis-Dreyfuss admits Julia was “always funny “ but he was surprised by her success. William is estimated to be worth 3.4 BILLION dollars, so the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, did it?

IMAGINE JAMES GANDOLFINI AND JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS AS A COUPLE!

Elaine Benes with Tony Soprano? Hard to imagine, but Seinfeld’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus IS costarring with Sopranos star James Gandolfini in an untitled romantic comedy now filming in Los Angeles. Julia plays a masseuse who inadvertently falls in love with the husband of a new friend, and that husband turns out to be Gandolfini.

SEINFELD CAST WILL REUNITE ON “CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM”

seinfeld reunion

Jerry Seinfeld has always insisted there will NOT be a “Seinfeld” reunion, but there WILL be a reunion of sorts when the original cast – Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, Michael Richards, and Jerry, get together on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Larry David, creator of both shows, has written a storyline about the cast attempting to reunite eleven years after the show went off the air. Various members of the Seinfeld cast will appear on five shows during the upcoming 7th season of “Curb.” We will definitely be watching – how about you?
