DID DANCING WITH THE STARS USE CAROLE BASKIN AS “BAIT” TO ATTRACT VIEWERS?

Certainly the most unexpected contestant – and object of curiosity- on Dancing with the Stars this year is Carole Baskin. You might remember Joe Exotic accused his rival Carole of murdering her wealthy ex-husband in the Tiger King documentary miniseries. The husband went missing in 1997 and was never found. Carole and her ex-husband ran the Big Cat sanctuary in Florida. She was definitely the most controversial dancer this season, and to tantalize viewers, she appeared last on the opening show. Too bad she got the lowest score. (Her awful costume and hair didn’t help!) During the show, her missing husband’s daughters aired a 50 second ad in Florida offering $100,000 for information about their father’s disappearance. Carole dismissed it as a “huge publicity stunt” but it makes you wonder – why would that family want “publicity?”

"The Man With The Iron Fist" coronavirus Joe Exotic Pardon Tiger King

WILL JOE EXOTIC GET A PARDON DUE TO CORONAVIRUS?

Joe Exotic’s legal team is in Washington, DC, to plead for a pardon for their incarcerated client. Personally, we’d rather see Joe get a pardon than some of the criminals being let loose in California. At least if he was released, he has someplace to live and can make money with his newfound fame. Our governor has released around 5000 prisoners so far, many of whom have no place to live or hopes for a job. Most are “low level” felons, but some are murderers or child molesters. A few commit crimes like burglary or car theft as soon as they get out. These masked felons are now walking around sizing up our neighborhoods for crimes! If our president thinks it will get votes, Joe Exotic might just get a pardon…

TIGER KING GROUP PREPPING SPECIAL ABOUT ROY HORN’S GRISLY TIGER ATTACK

Figures. Only a day after the death of Siegfried & Roy star Roy Horn, members of the Tiger King production team are scrambling to put together a special about Roy’s 2003 tiger attack. Since Tiger King was Netflix’s Most Watched Series, the special is likely a go. Of course it will feature the beautiful cats, but remember, Siegfried and Roy are – to put it mildly- fascinating characters themselves, and definitely competition for Joe Exotic…

Brad Pitt Joe Exotic Nicolas Cage Series

NICOLAS CAGE IS PERFECT CASTING TO PLAY JOE EXOTIC

When you think about it, Nicolas Cage IS almost the perfect choice to play Joe Exotic in an eight episode series for CBS. (Just the perfect touch of crazy – right?) The script is based on a story that appeared in Texas Monthly last year (before Tiger King) about how Joe Schreibvogel amassed his private zoo in Oklahoma and feuded with Carol Baskin and Jeff Lowe. The story will also explain how ordinary Joe made himself over to become Joe Exotic. This is the first time Nicolas has done TV, but we imagine he’s very excited to play this character. Joe Exotic recently said he’d like to see Brad Pitt play himself and we think it would be too painful to watch Brad torment animals, while Nicolas can pull it off more easily…

Joe Dirt Joe Exotic Tiger King

THE ROLE DAVID SPADE WAS BORN TO PLAY: JOE EXOTIC

The absolute BEST and most entertaining news we’ve heard all week is the report that Joe Exotic, 57, wants either Brad Pitt or “Joe Dirt” to play him in the Tiger King movie. Joe Dirt is, of course the white trash mullet haired loser that David Spade played in his 2001 movie of the same name. Spade co-wrote the script and at the time critics trashed the film, but fans loved it and it made money. What’s AMAZING is the fact that Joe Exotic (birth name: Joseph Allen Schreibvogel) IDENTIFIES with the poor hillbilly with a heart of gold character that Spade created (without benefit of meth or guns.) Who knew Joe Exotic was SO self-aware? Certainly David Spade, 55, (the right age) could make a FABULOUS over the top comedic film out of the Tiger King story. All profits should be donated to saving and preserving big cats in the wild.
