Not a lot of rockstars have homes that appear in Architectural Digest, but Guns N’Roses drummer Matt Sorum has an advantage. His wife Ace Harper was NOT a groupie – she happens to be a designer – both fashion and home interiors. The couple bought a weekend getaway house in Palm Springs that she remodeled and refurnished – and it includes a cozy outdoor theater – perfect for those warm evenings…

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s Guns N Roses musician Axl Rose was a big deal, but an obnoxious guy. He was notoriously late for concerts, infuriating bandmates and causing audience riots and damage. The self indulgent singer had a nasty disposition and mistreated his model girlfriends, but was idolized by groupies and fans. A lot has changed since his heyday – now he’s angry about unflattering chubby photos of him circulating on the internet with sarcastic captions. He made a legal request to Google to remove the images. Sensitive, huh? He’s lost a few pounds since then, but he’s definitely not the sex symbol he once was.

All it took was a couple of wigs (and some fake tattoos) and Cindy Crawford and her husband Randy Gerber were in costume as Axl Rose and Slash from Guns n’ Roses. They were photographed leaving a Halloween party in Beverly Hills.

Guns n Roses singer Axl Rose, 51, was seen walking around the West Village with a cane (or walking stick) again – is it a weapon, a necessity, or an affectation? He didn’t seem to be limping, so we’re guessing the latter. Believe it or not, we remember when he first started out and was boyishly attractive – even with the long red hair.

Recently Slash of Guns N Roses talked about catching his mother naked with David Bowie. It brought back memories because his late mother Ola Hudson used to be a customer in the store called The Garment District that we owned on Sunset Strip in the early 70’s. Ola was a delightful and fashionable black woman with distinct “rich-hippie” style. She was very connected and made clothes for rock stars and shopped for them as well. Often Ola brought her cute little boy Saul (Slash) along. She dressed David Bowie for some of his most important tours and evidently they had an affair. It all makes sense. David always appreciated smart black women. Back in those days, David was rather pan-sexual and seemed to like both sexes. Later he admitted her preferred the company of women. One thing we DO remember- Slash had a really nice mother.

Singer Lana Del Rey’s childhood dream is coming true- she’s going out with her rockstar idol Axl Rose. She’s had a crush on the Guns n’ Roses front man for years, and has been seen at several concerts. She even wrote a song about him when she was younger. So we’re betting 25 year old Lana can barely contain her excitement when keeping company with Axl , who is now 50 and somewhat past his prime in the looks department. (That MUSTACHE!) They were photographed leaving Chateau Marmont together and as usual the follicly challenged rocker had his head covered. As Andy Warhol said, sometimes getting what you want is the worst thing that can happen to you.
Good news for Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver musician Slash. He filed for divorce from his wife of 9 years, Perla Ferrar, on August 30. (They have two sons – London, 8, and Cash, 6.) Slash (real name Saul Hudson) immediately took a six month lease on a West Hollywood condo for himself. He had barely moved in when he and Perla got back together and he was out by October 1. For now the divorce is on hold and the condo is empty.

It seems like only yesterday that Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose (Above at New York hotel) was something of a rock star sex symbol, but actually it was back in the early 90’s. Axl was a hot young rocker involved heavily in drugs and modelizing. He always had a bad temper and it was assumed that his mood swings required medication. He disappeared for years and when he came back was accused of having bad plastic surgery. We’re not sure about that, but he certainly isn’t as appealing as he used to be. His facial hair and style leaves a lot to be desired.

Steven Adler is wallowing in his newfound fame thanks to Celebrity Rehab – the former Guns n’ Roses drummer performed at Opium Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida this weekend. We’re curious about this girl sitting next to him. Except for the tattoos, she bears a striking resemblance to Tina Yothers. Anybody know who it is?

Looking high as a kite, Celebrity Rehab’s failed participant Steven Adler seemed very happy to be taking a stroll on Robertson Blvd over the weekend. It might be his last walk for a while. The former Guns n Roses drummer has been ordered by an LA judge to check back into rehab by Monday February 9, at the latest. And this rehab isn’t televised. Will he cooperate, or end up back in court?
