BOY GEORGE DOESN’T WANT TO HURT YOU

Boy George is getting invitations to nice places again! Above, he was a guest at the Vivienne Westwood show during Fashion Week in Paris. He aptly describes himself as “the pink sheep of his working class Irish family.” He and his band Culture Club split 14 years ago, and after some drug meltdowns and jail time, George and the band are set to tour again. He’s ready – George has been sober since 2008.

BOY GEORGE CLEANED UP HIS ACT AND GOT A JOB

It looks like Boy George really DID turn over a new leaf after he got out of prison in the UK. You’ll recall he served time a few years ago for “imprisoning” a male escort in a drug-fueled frenzy. George says he’s been sober since March 2008, and he actually has a successful career as a club DJ. (The same job he had before the band Culture Club was formed.) In fact the 80’s icon told Punk Globe that he’s just finishing a world club tour and also has a record company where he remixes and creates dance music. (Above, George at a recent London event, and below, au natural on the street.)

BOY GEORGE ISN'T LOOKING SO BOYISH

80’s Culture Club singer Boy George is looking more like Alfred Hitchcock every day. We’re not even going to comment about his fashion. The portly singer was denied a work permit in the US, but George is busy touring in the UK. His solo act is billed as “The Boy is Back in Town.” Ticket sales are not spectacular- we hear that Culture Club is also touring with a new lead singer. Why can’t these band-mates get along?
