ALEC BALDWIN HAS GONE TO BAT FOR MICHAEL VICK

Alec Baldwin’s support for Michael Vick has us perplexed. Animal activist Alec blogged to The Huffington Post that he feels that because Vick is a public figure, he’s being judged by more rigorous standards than other people who abuse animals. Alec claims the owners of meatpacking plants and directors of medical research on animals aren’t as harshly judged because they are out of sight. Baldwin feels that Michael Vick deserves another chance to prove he is a changed man. We take offense to the notion that meat packers and medical researchers can be COMPARED to a bloodthirsty monster like Vick who deliberately tortured and killed domesticated PETS for his own twisted amusement. Some things are not so easy to forgive. Sorry Alec, you struck out on this one.

We admit we do complain about mothers pushing their toddlers in strollers instead of letting them walk, but we just LOVE this photo! Charlie Sheen’s fiancée Brooke Mueller took her two pugs for a ride on Rodeo Drive. Apparently they get tired and can’t keep up with her. She made sure her pets were safely seat belted into their little strollers.

Adam Sandler rescued his bulldog Matzoball at the Santa Monica beach this week. The pooch left the sandy beach and romped into the water and Adam immediately ran in the water to scoop up his beloved pet. Not long ago Pink’s bulldog drowned in her pool and it looks like the breed doesn’t mix well with deep water. They seem to sink like a stone so Adam isn’t taking any chances.

Kate Hudson’s little boy Ryder is asking for more than the freedom to walk instead of ride. He wants his own pet kangaroo! Ryder fell in love with the species when his mom was filming Fool’s Gold in Queensland, Australia last year. He’s been talking nonstop about kangaroos ever since. Kate gave Ryder a stuffed kangaroo and told him a real one wasn’t possible. He also asked his dad and grandma Goldie Hawn but they suggested he think about a puppy instead.

The judge is keeping her little boys Jayden and Preston are out of reach for now, but Britney Spears is making an effort to fill the void they left. She’s always had a fondness for parakeets (although keeping them alive is a challenge) so, according to an insider, she sent an assistant to Petco in West Hollywood to buy two baby blue parakeets. She named them Preston and Jayden, and Brit supposedly DOTES on them. Her pal explained “She calls out their names and sings to her little birds, but it’s painfully clear that she misses her sons.”
