BOYCOTT ALBERTSONS TO PROTEST PATRICIA HEATON!

005_patriciaheaton_spiritofhollyawards05.jpg
Maybe Everybody Loves Raymond, but no one with an ounce of sense loves Patricia Heaton any more! Michael J Fox’s poignant TV ad urging stem cell research has the christian fanatics all lathered up. Last night Patricia Heaton cranked out her own celebrity ad OPPOSING stem cell research – it’s set to run during the World Series. Heaton says that if stem cell research occurs, “Low income women will be seduced by big checks” for donor eggs. Shame on you, Patricia. This sentiment isn’t acceptable in progressive California. Even our Republican governor has the sense to back stem cell research. It’s not a political issue – it’s a religious issue and Heaton is an embarrassment to evolved women. Readers, express your outrage by BOYCOTTING Albertsons – they employ Heaton is spokesperson. We can show Albertson’s we don’t agree with Patricia Heaton by shopping anywhere ELSE!

  1. I find your comments VERY rude and uneducated. You’re acting like a 3 year old here! I mean if you don’t agree with what ALL the celebrities in the ad (I guess you overlooked the fact that Patty isn’t the only one in it) well fine then say something in favour of stem cell research, but don’t just attack Patty because she has the guts to speak up about something.
As someone said, you only believe in the right to free speech as long as YOU agree with what the person is saying. Heaven forbid someone actually has a mind of their own and dares to voice an oppinion contrary to what the vast majority of people think.
Why, just because she wants to protect the rights of women and children, is she considered “unevolved” … that doesn’t even make sense!!
I’d like to remind you of EXACTLY what Patty said:
“Amendment Two actually makes it a constitutional right for fertility clinics to pay women for eggs. Low income women will be seduced by big checks and extracting donor eggs is an extremely complicated, dangerous, and painful procedure.”
Even if you agree with stem cell research, I’m sorry, but that IS true! What is so wrong about what SHE said specifically.
Do yourself a favour, instead of attacking people who have an opinion…learn how to debate politics in a civil way.
    I SUPPORT PATTY 100%

  2. All right, Patricia! Keep speaking the truth. I support you 100%!

  3. Thank you for informing me that Patricia is a spokesperson for Albertson’s. I will be shopping there exclusively from now on.

  4. Before you knock Christians on this issue, be very, very clear on what particular forms of stem cell research require – test tube fetuses – babies, in other words – created for the sole purpose of harvesting their cells. Scientists are rapidly developing other ways to cure these diseases apart from fetus stem cells. If we support that, there will be more of a pressure for scientists to find the cures we need. I want Michael J. Fox to get well and live a long life with his family and I totally disagree with what Rush Limbaugh said – it was ignorant and wrong of him to attack Michael J. Fox. But we’re fighting to save lives through stem cell research at what cost – killing fetus’ lives? It doesn’t make sense. That’s why many people don’t support it. If all you know about stem cell research is what the media and Janet Charlton say about it then it’s important to read up on it for yourself. Boycotting Albertsons is the least of our worries.

  5. Janet Charlton you are an idiot for suggesting an Albertson’s boycott because they dare employ a person whose views differ from most Hollywood liberals. Didn’t you learn anything when the Nazis boycotted the Jews? Boycotts are ignorant and unAmerican. Why not just let your political vote represent your views like in a real democracy?

  6. If I had the funds .. I will get a full page ad in the LA Times and NY Times that says: SHAME ON YOU PATRICIA HEATON! She was never a good actress anyway —

  7. God forbid someone in Hollywood speaks out on something important (do you know who God is, by the way?). Patricia Heaton isn’t against stem cell research — she’s against testing on unborn children. She is a wonderful woman. And, I can’t WAIT to shop at Albertson’s!

  8. Albertson’s will have my business… I will still enjoy Ms. Heaton’s work… and while you too are entitled to your opinion, your “call to arms” comes off as nothing more than mean spiritness thus feeding your negative karma.

  9. Janet,
I agree with you 100% Boycott Albertsons and boycott Patricia Heaton.

  10. The religious right doesn’t like it when we give them a TASTE of THEIR own MEDICINE. They boycott the Dixie Chicks and even advertisers who placed ads on Will & Grace, so SCREW THEM!!!!! I am BOYCOTTING ALbertsons and so are ALL if my friends.

  11. Yeah Janet,
Give those idiots a kick in their asses. Patricias HEaton is against stem cell research but spent thousands on bad plastic surgery. What a hypocrite. I hope she chokes on her Bible

  12. Let the bible thumpers and the evangelicals shop at Albertsons. I for one will never shop there again. No reason to hate Patricia Heaton but I won’t give her a cent of my money by shopping at Albertsons or watching anything she appears on.

  13. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ALBERTSON’S AGAIN!!!!! FIRE THAT HYPOCRITE

  14. I support Patricia’s freedom of choice and I support the boycott. I will never shop at Albertsons.

  15. Progressive California?! What a joke…more like “Nashville with a tan”. Thanks for the info, I will be shopping at Albertsons every chance I get. For all those who think she is an ignorant bitch, do your own study on Stem Cell Research. You might actually learn the facts.

  16. All she said in the ad was that the way the amendment is written will make it the constitutionally-guaranteed right of clinics to buy eggs and this would be bad for poor women. For this you boycott Albertson’s? I think Ms. Charlton never saw the ad before opening her mouth and making a fool of herself and all of you who are jumping to agree without even watching the ad first. Idiots.

  17. Apparently Ms. Charlton and most of her readers lack basic compassion for poor people. Re-write the amendment so that poor women are not sacrificed!!!

  18. Thank you Patricia Heaton for protecting underpriviledged women! Shame on Janet Charlton for calling Boycott without seeing the ad first.

  19. It seems to me that Janet Charlton must have a personal vendetta against Patricia Heaton. She has lied about her and called for a boycott and here are tons of people of lower-than-average intelligence who will follow without stopping to think that maybe Janet Charlton is a liar (she is).

  20. The bill Fox and Heaton are speaking about legalizes human cloning. I like your gossip site but you are not very knowledgable. This is a FREE country.

  21. WHat has Patricia HEaton done for low income women? What a typical religious nut job. Boycoyy Albertsons.

  22. Patrcia Heaton is TYPICAL Hollywood trash. SHe should keep her uneducated opinions to herself. I would no sooner listen to her than I would anyone else in Hollywood. I support stem cell research and hope Patrcia loses her job. She is a JOKE

  23. I too am through with Albertsons. I agree with Fern in Ojia’s comments. Patrcia Heaton is a mess and she makes me want to vomit. Too bad her eggs are too old for stem cell research that old hag.

  24. Miss Charleton aka fan of Dr. Mengele (sp?),
The propaganda you and MJF are foinsting upon the unthinking is false. Adult stem cell research is heartily endorsed by all, killing babies is most certainly not. Private stem cell research is endorsed by all but forcing taxpayers to fund it is not. Not only that, baby stem cell research has proven to, in many cases, enable growths on the brain.
Child abuse is evil. You should not aid and abet.

  25. I supprt all stem cell research. Put these religious nuts on an island, they are ruining America.

  26. Me thinks Patricia Heaton protests too much. Call the Enquirer, she probably had an alley abortion in her past. That hypocrite. Shame on her.

  27. Patricia Heaton can hide behind her bible but her ignorance is deafening. If this is Albertsons spokesmodel I will shop elsewhere.

  28. The Michael Fox ad is a dishonest political commercial on behalf of Democratic candidates. BTW, the debate is about EMBRYONIC stem cells vs adult stem cells/cord blood stem cells. Its OK for a cheesy, uninformed gossip columnist to call for a boycott of Albertson’s because she doesn’t agree with Heaton’s personal opinion? I get it, JANET can cackle about “celebrities” but anyone she doesn’t agree with gets sent to the gulag?

  31. I guess Patricia Heaton doesn’t oppose the research that made plastic surgery possible since she had a breast lift to raise her saggy t*ts.

  32. I think Ms. Heaton is right- most stem cells that are used for research come from aborted babies. The doctors that perform abortions get paid mega-$$$$ for the fetus tissue. This causes many (not all, but many) of the doctors that perform abortions to be quite pushy about thying to convince a woman to abort.
Plus, everyone has the right to state their opinion…even when it’s not the same as yours (or mine).

  33. Shame on you Janet – this is America. Everyone has a right to their own opinion – even in California!

  34. Honestly Ms. Charlton, would you care to debate the stem cell issue on it’s actual merits? Or are you only interested in using your D-List blog to attack Patricia Heaton? I’m sure you were a big fan of President Clinton-why was he unable to make up his mind on funding for stem cell research? And why hasn’t private funding materialized for this science? Put your own money where your mouth is. Patricia Heaton should be applauded for calling Michael J. Fox out on his cheap attempt to politicize disease. This has been a traditionally bipartisan venue, and to promise hope if only a Democrat were elected to office is beyond reprehensible. So-called progressives do a great disservice to those everywhere who suffer, and Mr. Fox is putting forth Claire McKaskill as a cheap faith healer. The ballot initiative opposed by Ms. Heaton would make cloning a constitutional right in the state of Missouri, and would make a lot of money for fertility clinics with embryonic stores they would love to liquidate for profit. I would love to hear how anyone, in good faith, could stand up for human cloning. The Republican candidate has never criminalized stem cell research, or said that it should be a criminal act, he has instead voted in favor of it. I wouldn’t expect you to bring any of this up, but it isn’t as if your posting actually makes any salient points to begin with.

  35. I will be shopping albertsons today!! Shame on you janet!!FREEDOM of SPEECH–ever hear of that?
just as michael has the right so does patricia!

  36. no more albertsons for me. talk about freedom of speech it is the religious right that promotes cencorship. those hypocrites. A bunch of holiet than thou sinners.

  37. janet, w/ al due respect, YOU are wrong how dare you assume i share your views? i love your site, it keeps me entertained, but just because you may not agree with someone’s political or religious views does not man there should be a call to arms for a boycott. how ridiculous. matter of fact, i think i agree with heaton more and more now…

  38. I wrote to Albertson’s after Heaton’s Terry Shiavo performance, and again today. They claim she represents their “core customer”; I’m glad to say that’s not me, so my boycott is firmly in place.

  39. i will not shop there until they dump this asshat. i emailed them, and told them so, and got a b/s response letter

  40. For those of you who are not aware of the facts, let me enlighten you. No one is opposed to stem cell research. There are 2 kinds of stem cell research. 1. adult stem cell research, can be obtained from your own spinal fluid and also from embilical cord fluid. 2. embriotic stem cell research, obtained through aborted fetus. Adult stem cell research is producing thousands of promising advances in science. Embrioric stem cell research has not shown any promise in ANY field. This is why venture capital funding is not going towards embriotic research. What embriotic stem cell research can produce is cloning cells. Most conservatives, like Patricia Heaton, are opposed to research on fetus’s and cloning. Information is power…get informed, not mad!

  41. You are awesome Janet! Patricia Heaton should worry about all the unwanted and abused children in this world rather than petrie dishes full of undifferentiated cells! She’s a total whack!
