BOYCOTT ALBERTSONS TO PROTEST PATRICIA HEATON!
Maybe Everybody Loves Raymond, but no one with an ounce of sense loves Patricia Heaton any more! Michael J Fox’s poignant TV ad urging stem cell research has the christian fanatics all lathered up. Last night Patricia Heaton cranked out her own celebrity ad OPPOSING stem cell research – it’s set to run during the World Series. Heaton says that if stem cell research occurs, “Low income women will be seduced by big checks” for donor eggs. Shame on you, Patricia. This sentiment isn’t acceptable in progressive California. Even our Republican governor has the sense to back stem cell research. It’s not a political issue – it’s a religious issue and Heaton is an embarrassment to evolved women. Readers, express your outrage by BOYCOTTING Albertsons – they employ Heaton is spokesperson. We can show Albertson’s we don’t agree with Patricia Heaton by shopping anywhere ELSE!

and people acted as if the boycott against the Dix. chicks music being purchased and/or played was bordering on “hate crime”, it was the right of people who disagreed with them. the whole “shut up and sing” movie is ONLY about how horrible it was that people disagreed with them, and boycotted them! the vast majority of people have no idea why there is an opposition to stem cell research. there are valid reasons. it’s the same thing as having a different opinion about abortion. we all have the right to a voice on this, stop attacking her right to her voice, or her constitutional right to support the candidate / issue of her choosing. are you really against her RIGHT to speak freely??? how can you say you support free speech and they say these things?? Adult stem cell treatment is successfully in use now. Stem cell research using embryos is not being blocked and can be done through private enterprise. The government (meaning our tax dollars)shouldn’t have to pay for or support everything. Look at embryo stem cell research as a new drug. Pharmaceutical companies research and develope new drugs, not the government.

Her ad opposed FETAL stem cell research, which, rather than curing diseases is proven to cause brain cancer. Adult stem cell research, which she supports is already curing diseases (it’s used in a heart therapy). I have a son with Type I diabetes, if I thought fetal stem cells would cure him, I’d be interested, but the danger of brain tumors is too great, fetal stem cells differentiate too easily and a cell differentiating out of control is CANCER. Janet, get your own facts straight before you post trash like this.
