Stevie Nicks

STEVIE NICKS KNOWS A THING OR TWO ABOUT DRUGS

Stevie Nicks, 69, turned up at the LA Film Festival premier of The Book of Henry because she has a song on the movie’s soundtrack. Every chance she gets, Stevie talks about the dangers of the prescription drug Klonopin. Back in the 80’s when Stevie had just left Betty Ford after beating coke and was feeling great, her advisors pushed her to visit a famous psychiatrist. The guy prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and she ended up gaining 50 pounds “and I lost eight years of my life!” She claims the drug is more deadly than coke and advises friends “Don’t always listen to other people – trust yourself.”

STEVIE NICKS GOES HER OWN WAY – ON CAMERA

It’s a rock star reunion at the London premier of “Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams.“ Dave Stewart directed the documentary about 70’s rocker Stevie’s writing and recording of her first solo album in 10 years. We are always amazed at the number of fans that Stevie still has. Above are Dave on the left, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie.

It’s always a delight to run into Stevie Nicks somewhere. This week she dined at Boa steak house , dressed all in black as usual. We like everything but the tinted aviator glasses – they don’t do her any favors. She finished her world tour with Fleetwood Mac in December, you last saw Stevie on the Grammys singing with Taylor Swift and now she’s writing songs with Dave Stewart. Did you know Lindsay Lohan tried to buy the rights to Stevie’s life so she could produce and star in the movie? Stevie responded “Over my dead body!”
